Company Description Calvern House Research Foundation (CHRF) is an independent research foundation and multidisciplinary think tank focused on research, policy, leadership, and innovation with a long-term growth vision in Asia. The organization is dedicated to generating rigorous, solution-oriented proprietary research and analysis on how states, economies, and societies will evolve in the 21st century. Its work aims to support better decisions by developing better ideas that drive innovation and public impact, particularly in relation to India’s strategic interests and global engagement.

Research is organized across six thematic centres, spanning foreign policy, public governance, economics and development, technology and AI, society and law, and climate and sustainability. CHRF also operates regional desks covering major global regions, including the Indo-Pacific, South Asia, Europe, the Americas, East Asia, Southeast Asia, Russia and Eurasia, Central Asia, Africa, the Middle East, the Arctic, and global governance.

Role Description The Researcher role at Calvern House is a full-time, on-site position based in Current Delhi. The Researcher will conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative research, including literature reviews, data collection, analysis, and synthesis across one or more of CHRF’s thematic centres and regional desks.

Responsibilities include drafting research papers, policy briefs, and reports; preparing presentations; and contributing to thought leadership content for internal and external stakeholders. The role involves monitoring global trends,



policy developments, and academic debates, and translating findings into actionable insights for governments, institutions, and the public. The Researcher will collaborate with senior scholars and policy experts, participate in events and seminars, support project management, and ensure that all outputs meet high standards of accuracy, clarity, and methodological integrity.

Qualifications

- Strong research and analytical skills, including experience with literature reviews, data collection, and qualitative or quantitative analysis.
- Excellent writing and editing abilities, with proven capacity to produce clear, structured, evidence-based papers, briefs, and reports.
- Background in relevant disciplines such as international relations, public policy, economics, law, political science, technology studies, or environmental studies.
- Ability to synthesize complex information, develop arguments, and present findings to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
- Proficiency in research tools and software (e.g., citation managers, data analysis tools, spreadsheets); familiarity with statistical or qualitative analysis software is an advantage.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, while also being comfortable working independently.
