Owns the quality framework for the programme: the error typology, the sampling regime, the acceptance thresholds and the evidence that the whole thing is being followed.
What you will own
- Operate the DQF-MQM error typology and its severity definitions across all deliverables, and keep scoring consistent between reviewers.
- Run the linguistic quality assurance sampling regime and hold the acceptance thresholds.
- Own the three-stage translation, editing and proofreading workflow, including the independence requirement between stages.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action reporting within the contractual cure window.
- Maintain ISO 17100 and ISO 18587 compliance evidence,
and front internal and client audits.
- Distinguish rigorously between defects that are ours and defects that originate upstream — and evidence the difference.
What you need
- 6+ years in localisation quality, with hands-on ownership of an ISO 17100 or ISO 18587 certified process.
- Practical command of MQM or DQF error typologies — not just familiarity with the acronyms.
- Experience defending a quality position to a demanding client with data rather than assertion.
- Understanding of machine translation post-editing quality and where it differs from human translation quality.
Practical to have
- Lead auditor qualification.
- Experience with regulated content acceptance criteria.
