About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Property Accountant with hands-on experience in US Property Accounting and Real Estate Accounting Operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of property-level accounting, General Ledger, tenant and rent accounting, CAM reconciliations, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close and property financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities for US commercial or residential properties.
- Maintain property-level General Ledger and accounting records.
- Prepare and post Journal Entries, Accruals, Prepayments and Accounting Adjustments.
- Perform Bank, Balance Sheet and Property-level Reconciliations.
- Support Tenant Accounting, Rent Accounting and Accounts Receivable activities.
- Prepare and review CAM reconciliations where applicable.
- Manage or support Accounts Payable and vendor accounting activities.
- Support Month-End, Quarter-End and Year-End Close activities.
- Prepare property-level financial statements and management reports.
- Analyze property-level budgets, actuals and financial variances.
- Maintain Fixed Asset records and related accounting schedules.
- Support intercompany accounting and reconciliations where applicable.
- Coordinate with property managers, clients, vendors and internal finance teams.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP,



company policies and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve property accounting processes and reporting efficiency.

Key Software Yardi, MRI, AppFolio, RealPage, QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets; experience with other property management or accounting systems will also be considered.

Accounting & Compliance Knowledge

US Property Accounting, Real Estate Accounting, US GAAP, General Ledger, Tenant Accounting, Rent Accounting, CAM Reconciliation, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Month-End Close, Property Financial Statements, Budgeting, Variance Analysis, Fixed Assets, Accrual Accounting, Audit Documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

- B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / Accounting or a related field.
- CA, CPA or candidates pursuing/progressing toward a relevant accounting qualification preferred.
- 3-8 years of relevant experience in Property Accounting, Real Estate Accounting or General Accounting.
- Hands-on experience supporting US property accounting or US-based real estate clients preferred.
- Strong understanding of property-level accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience with rent, tenant, CAM or property-level accounting preferred.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
- Ability to manage multiple properties, deadlines and reporting requirements.
