Futrans New Energy Vehicles is an upcoming automotive manufacturer building next-generation electric commercial vehicles for the Indian market. We are currently developing our first electric Small Commercial Vehicle (eSCV) and are looking for a hands-on professional to help drive the program from development to production.

Role Description

We are looking for a Project Manager – NPD, Sourcing & Vendor Development to lead component development, sourcing, supplier management and delivery for our eSCV program.

You will work closely with the Founder, engineering teams and suppliers to ensure components are developed and delivered on cost, quality and timeline.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead new product development and sourcing of vehicle components from RFQ through prototype, validation and SOP.
- Identify, evaluate and develop domestic and international suppliers.
- Drive RFQs, commercial negotiations, supplier selection and cost targets.
- Manage supplier timelines, development issues, quality and delivery.
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, quality and suppliers for vehicle builds and launch readiness.
- Track project milestones, risks and critical-path activities.
- Support the overall vehicle program through prototype, homologation and SOP.

Tentative Component Scope

EV Powertrain, E/E, thermal and mechanical systems, including battery,



motor, MCU/VCU, HV/LV harnesses, lighting, cluster, switches, thermal systems, seats, mirrors, rims & tyres and other vehicle components.

Mandatory Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, Industrial or related field.
- 5–10 years of automotive NPD, sourcing, supplier development or program management experience.
- Experience in EV development.
- Experience in vehicle launch / SOP or major automotive product development.
- Hands-on experience in component sourcing and vendor development.
- Strong supplier management, negotiation and project execution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple suppliers, components and timelines independently.

Good to have

- OEM / Tier-1 experience.
- Strong vendor relationships and supplier network
- International supplier experience.
- Homologation and vehicle validation exposure.
