Project Manager – Electrical – Government Solar EPC

Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹1,10,000 per month

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager – Electrical to lead the end-to-end execution of Government Solar EPC projects, with primary responsibility for electrical engineering, construction, commissioning, grid connectivity, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Take A–Z ownership of electrical execution for Government Solar EPC projects.
- Plan, schedule, and execute electrical works in line with tender requirements and project milestones.
- Manage electrical design review, engineering, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and O&M; coordination.
- Ensure compliance with CEA, MNRE, DISCOM, CEIG/Chief Electrical Inspector, and applicable electrical standards and contract specifications.
- Supervise electrical works including:
- Solar PV module and string installation
- DC/AC cabling
- String/central inverters
- HT/LT systems
- Transformers
- HT panels and RMUs
- SCADA and monitoring systems
- Protection and metering systems
- Earthing and lightning protection
- Substations and evacuation systems
- Transmission lines and grid interconnection
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, procurement, design, commissioning, and O&M; teams.
- Manage EPC contractors, electrical subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and site teams.
- Monitor electrical material procurement, inspection, delivery, installation, and quality.
- Ensure adherence to approved drawings, BOQ, specifications, ITPs, method statements, and QA/QC requirements.
- Handle RA billing, milestone billing, client certification, measurements, and payment follow-up.
- Coordinate statutory approvals, electrical inspections, grid connectivity,



synchronization, and energization.
- Lead testing and commissioning of electrical systems and ensure readiness for COD/SCOD.
- Identify and resolve technical, contractual, commercial, and site-related issues.
- Prepare progress reports, MIS, DPRs, project schedules, and management updates.
- Ensure project completion within approved time, cost, quality, and safety parameters.
- Coordinate final documentation, as-built drawings, test reports, warranties, and project handover.
- Act as the single point of contact for Government clients, DISCOMs, electrical authorities, consultants, and other stakeholders.

Qualification
- B.E. / B.Tech – Electrical Engineering – Mandatory
- MBA / PMP / Project Management certification – Added advantage

Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Solar PV Electrical EPC
- Government Solar EPC tender and contract understanding
- Knowledge of CEA, MNRE, DISCOM and CEIG requirements
- Strong electrical engineering and project execution skills
- HT/LT, substation, transformer and evacuation system expertise
- Grid connectivity, synchronization and commissioning experience
- RA billing and commercial/contractual understanding
- Project planning, scheduling and cost control
- Vendor and subcontractor management
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in handling large MW-scale Solar PV projects
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
