We are looking for an experienced Production & Product Development Manager to manage day-to-day factory operations while also supporting the development and improvement of cosmetic, herbal and Ayurvedic personal-care products.

The ideal candidate should be hands-on and comfortable managing production, labour, dispatches, batch manufacturing and basic product R&D;.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Manufacturing

- Plan and execute daily/weekly production as per orders and production targets.
- Manage batch manufacturing, filling, packing and labelling activities.
- Ensure production is completed on time with minimum wastage.
- Monitor raw-material consumption and production yields.
- Maintain batch manufacturing records and production documentation.
- Coordinate with quality/testing teams for batch approvals and troubleshooting.

Labour & Factory Management

- Manage and allocate work to approximately 20 factory workers.
- Monitor attendance, productivity, discipline and work allocation.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and hygiene on the production floor.
- Train workers on production processes and SOPs.
- Identify and resolve day-to-day production-floor issues.

Dispatch & Inventory Coordination

- Coordinate finished-goods packing and dispatches.
- Ensure correct SKU, batch, quantity and packaging before dispatch.
- Coordinate with stores/accounts for stock requirements and dispatch planning.
- Monitor raw-material and packaging-material availability.

Product Development & R&D;

- Assist in developing recent cosmetic, herbal and Ayurvedic products.
- Conduct small-scale trials and coordinate pilot batches.
- Improve existing formulations based on performance, cost and customer requirements.




- Help identify suitable raw materials, ingredients and packaging.
- Prepare basic product costing and raw-material requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues related to viscosity, texture, stability, fragrance, colour, pH, separation, etc.
- Coordinate with external laboratories/testing agencies wherever required.

Ayurvedic & Herbal Products

- Should have basic understanding of Ayurvedic/herbal ingredients and formulations.
- Knowledge of herbal extracts, oils, powders and traditional Ayurvedic ingredients will be an advantage.
- Should understand the practical requirements of converting formulations into commercial production.

Candidate Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in cosmetics, personal care, Ayurvedic, herbal, FMCG or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience in production/batch manufacturing.
- Experience managing factory workers and production-floor operations.
- Basic knowledge of cosmetic formulation and product development.
- Understanding of raw materials, manufacturing processes and product costing.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for factory operations.
- Ayurvedic/herbal product knowledge preferred.
