ABOUT THE COMPANY

Bongchie India Private Limited is a manufacturer and distributor of rolling papers, pre-rolled cones, smoking papers and related products. The company operates across domestic and international markets and focuses on product quality, consistency, innovation and efficient manufacturing processes.

ROLE OVERVIEW The Production Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing day-to-day production operations to ensure that production targets are achieved within the planned timelines while maintaining quality, productivity, cost efficiency and safety standards.

The role will involve production planning, manpower management, material coordination, quality monitoring, wastage control, production reporting and continuous improvement of manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manufacturing and production operations, with the ability to effectively manage production activities, teams, materials and operational challenges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Production Planning & Operations

- Plan and execute daily, weekly and monthly production schedules.
- Ensure achievement of production targets within timelines.
- Monitor production output and productivity.
- Identify production issues and take corrective action.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower and materials.

2. Team & Production Management

- Manage and supervise production team and helpers.
- Allocate manpower according to production requirements.
- Monitor attendance, discipline and productivity.
- Train employees on SOPs and production procedures.

3. Quality & Wastage Control





- Ensure products are manufactured as per approved quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Quality team to resolve quality issues.
- Monitor rejection, rework and minimize material wastage
- Identify opportunities to improve quality and reduce production losses.

4. Material Management

- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase for timely availability of materials.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.

5. Reporting & Documentation

- Maintain Daily Production Reports, MIS, material consumption, wastage, rejection reports.
- Monitor Production Plan vs. Actual performance.
- Provide regular production updates and performance reports to management.

6. Process Improvement

- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and productivity.
- Reduce wastage, rejection and rework.
- Improve manpower and material utilization.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Recommend improvements in production processes and working methods.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Production, Operations or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing/production operations.
- Experience in managing production teams and production schedules.
- Experience in manpower, material management.
- Experience with ERP/manufacturing software is preferred.
- Experience in paper products, FMCG, packaging or similar manufacturing industries will be an advantage.
