As we scale, we are moving beyond simply integrating existing technologies and are increasingly focused on developing products, technologies, and platforms that we can build and own ourselves.

We are looking for a highly curious and technically strong Product Innovation Engineer who can continuously explore new technologies, identify product opportunities, evaluate feasibility, and turn promising ideas into prototypes and new product development programs.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on product innovation role sitting between Product, Technology Research and Engineering.

You will work closely with the Founder and R&D; teams to identify what IZI should build next, understand emerging technologies, evaluate opportunities, develop product concepts, and drive early-stage Proof of Concepts and prototypes.

The role is suited for someone who enjoys building rather than only managing products.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Technology Innovation

- Research emerging technologies, components, products and applications across UAVs, cameras, imaging, robotics, AI-enabled hardware, electronics and connected devices.
- Continuously identify new product opportunities for IZI.
- Identify areas where IZI can develop differentiated or proprietary products instead of relying on imported finished products.
- Track emerging technologies, startups, suppliers, components and technology platforms.
- Study competitor products and understand their architecture, components, cost and differentiation.

- Product Concept Development

- Convert ideas and market opportunities into clear product concepts.
- Define initial product requirements and technical specifications.




- Conduct technical and commercial feasibility studies.
- Evaluate development complexity, estimated BOM cost, technology availability, risks and timelines.
- Prepare product concept and feasibility documents for management review.

- Prototyping & Proof of Concepts

- Drive early-stage prototypes and Proof of Concepts.
- Work with engineering teams to validate product ideas quickly.
- Test different components, architectures and technologies.
- Identify technical limitations early and recommend alternative approaches.
- Document learnings and decide whether concepts should proceed, change direction or be discontinued.

Technology & Component Evaluation
- Evaluate sensors, processors, camera modules, communication systems, batteries, embedded platforms and other technologies.
- Compare technologies based on performance, cost, availability, integration complexity and long-term scalability.
- Work with Technical Sourcing and Engineering teams to identify appropriate components and suppliers.

Cross-Functional Product DevelopmentWork closely with:

to move promising ideas from concept to engineering development. Product Roadmap Support
- Maintain a pipeline of potential new products and technology opportunities.
- Help prioritize opportunities based on market potential, differentiation, technical feasibility and development effort.
- Present promising concepts and recommendations to the Founder and senior engineering team.




- Track early-stage product development milestones.

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Robotics, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 2–6 years of experience in hardware product development, R&D;, electronics, robotics, UAVs, consumer electronics or related technology products.
- Strong curiosity about how products and technologies work.
- Ability to independently research and understand unfamiliar technologies.
- Hands-on experience with prototypes, components or hardware development.
- Valuable understanding of electronics, embedded systems, sensors, cameras or connected devices.
- Ability to work across engineering, sourcing and manufacturing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present technical ideas clearly.
