We are a process safety and engineering practice working with chemical, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, petrochemical, fertiliser and energy plants. Our test for a study is simple. Did anything change on the plant after we left. We build our method and our software around that single question rather than around the length of the report.

The role

You will facilitate HAZOP, HAZID, What If and checklist studies and carry the findings through LOPA, SIL determination and PSM implementation. Studies run on site with the client team. Modelling, analysis and reporting run from our Thane office.

What you will be trusted with

You will own your own nodes within the first year. You will chair your own study once you can defend a safeguard qualification unaided, not on a fixed timetable. A study is chaired by one engineer and scribed by another, so you learn the chair by doing the scribe first.

How work is reviewed here

Every deliverable is checked by a second engineer before it leaves. Findings against your work are discussed with you rather than around you. A safeguard is credited when it passes the independence test, not when the room is tired.



That standard applies to the newest engineer and to the director equally.

What we look for A chemical engineering degree and process plant experience. Familiarity with HAZOP and LOPA method, and enough process understanding to argue with a P&ID; rather than read it. We care more about whether you can defend a conclusion than about how many studies you have sat in.

Experience with QRA, consequence modelling, relief sizing or IEC 61511 is helpful but not required. We fund the certifications that follow from your competency assessment, including functional safety and calorimetry training.

What we will not ask you to do

Stretch a correlation past its validity, or close a study with coverage gaps left unreported.

Practical detail

Full time, based in Thane with travel to client sites for study weeks. Travel is scheduled with recovery time and study days are capped at the length a facilitator can actually hold attention for.
