Plant Operations Manager - Tanker Fleet Security

Location: Palanpur, Gujarat

Salary: ₹60,000 / month (negotiable basis experience) + incentives

Manage security operations across a 1,200+ tanker fleet, 20+ locations and a 100+ member field workforce.

Advancetech Solution is looking for a sharp, hands-on and highly proactive Operations Manager to take overall ownership of a large-scale tanker fleet security operation in Palanpur.

The role involves coordinating operations across Palanpur, Sanadar and 20+ branch locations, managing manpower and deployment across locations, and leading a 100+ member blue-collar field workforce.

This is a role for someone who can stay on top of the entire operation, anticipate problems before they occur, maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders and ensure that work gets completed on time without unnecessary escalation.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Multi-Location Coordination

- Take overall responsibility for the smooth functioning of security operations across Palanpur, Sanadar and 20+ branch locations.
- Coordinate regularly with branch teams, shift managers, administrators and field staff across locations.
- Monitor manpower requirements, staff deployment and attendance across all locations and proactively address any manpower gaps.
- Ensure adequate manpower is available at every location and operational requirements are met without disruption.
- Maintain close coordination between the central team, branch locations and field workforce.
- Track the overall operational status across locations and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Field Operations

- Manage day-to-day security operations across a 1,200+ tanker fleet.
- Lead, supervise and coordinate a 100+ member blue-collar field workforce.
- Make field visits a regular part of the role and visit branch/operational locations regularly.
- Stay closely connected with field teams and ensure operational problems are addressed in a timely manner.
- Ensure smooth execution of security operations and adherence to defined SOPs.

Proactive Problem Solving & Ownership





- Anticipate operational challenges rather than waiting for problems to occur.
- Forecast manpower and operational requirements and keep solutions ready in advance.
- Identify recurring operational gaps and implement practical, sustainable solutions.
- Maintain strong follow-through on all assigned tasks and operational requirements.
- Resolve issues through effective coordination and problem-solving, without unnecessary escalation.

Night Operations

- Maintain appropriate oversight of night operations.
- Stay responsive to key night-time operational issues and requirements.
- Coordinate with relevant staff, shift managers and field teams when intervention is required.
- Ensure critical operational issues are addressed in a timely manner.

MIS, Stock & Office Coordination

- Keep track of stock, stock reports, MIS and official emails.
- Ensure reports, emails and other operational requirements are reviewed and responded to on time.
- Track pending tasks and follow up until closure.

Stakeholder & People Management

- Build and maintain strong, positive and professional relationships with client-side operational teams and stakeholders.
- Coordinate effectively with client officers, ATS managers, shift managers, administrators and field staff.
- Be approachable and respectful while maintaining the authority required to manage a large workforce.
- Train, guide, motivate and manage frontline employees effectively.

Who We're Looking For

We value practical experience over a specific degree. We are looking for someone with several years of experience managing people-heavy, field-based operations and taking ownership of large, distributed teams.

Relevant backgrounds include: Service Centre / Workshop Manager, Fleet / Transport Manager, Logistics Operations Manager, Branch Manager,



Depot / Hub Manager, Site / Facility Manager, Area / Regional Operations Manager, Security Operations Manager, Project Manager with significant field exposure, or any similar role managing large-scale operations and frontline employees.

Experience managing drivers, technicians, field executives, service staff or other blue-collar/frontline employees will be highly valuable.

- A strong practical problem-solver who anticipates issues rather than waits for them
- Comfortable taking complete ownership and following tasks through to completion
- Comfortable managing multiple locations and priorities simultaneously
- Willing to spend significant time on the field
- Able to coordinate effectively across different levels without unnecessary escalation

Additional Skills

- Ability to draft, track and respond to official emails
- Basic MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Graduate preferred, but relevant field experience and demonstrated operational ability will be valued more than educational qualifications.
