Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Plant Head to lead and manage our medical device manufacturing plant. The role will be responsible for overall plant operations, production planning, quality, manpower, productivity, cost control, process improvement and compliance.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in medical devices, surgical consumables, and should be capable of building an efficient, quality-focused and disciplined manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Overall responsibility for plant operations, production and manufacturing performance.
- Plan and achieve production targets while maintaining required quality standards.
- Manage Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores and other plant functions.
- Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machines, materials and resources.
- Develop and implement production plans as per business requirements.
- Monitor productivity, rejection, rework, downtime and manufacturing costs.
- Establish strong process control and quality improvement practices.
- Work closely with QA/QC to ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and procedures.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure proper implementation of SOPs, work instructions and safety procedures.
- Drive lean manufacturing, process improvement and waste reduction initiatives.
- Ensure timely maintenance and availability of production machinery and equipment.
- Manage manpower planning, training, performance and discipline at the plant.




- Maintain proper production, quality and operational documentation.
- Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 13485 / Medical Device QMS and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with Management for capacity planning, new product development and scale-up activities.
- Monitor overall plant KPIs and submit regular performance reports to Management.
- Ensure a safe, organized and productive working environment.

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Science or a relevant technical discipline.
- 8–15 years of relevant manufacturing experience, preferably with 3+ years in a plant leadership/management role.
- Experience in medical devices, surgical consumables, will be highly preferred.
- Candidates with experience in setting up, stabilizing or scaling up a manufacturing plant will have an added advantage.
