Plant HR Manager — Rapross Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd.

Location: Rai, Sonipat, Haryana (in office) | Full-time

ABOUT US

Rapross Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. is an integrated pharmaceutical manufacturer with a cGMP-compliant production facility and a portfolio spanning anti-allergics, anti-fungals, anti-cold preparations, analgesics and anti-inflammatories, haemostats, probiotics and nutraceuticals. Our corporate office is in Rohini, New Delhi, and our manufacturing operations are based at Rai, Sonipat.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Plant HR Manager to independently own the complete HR and Industrial Relations function at our Rai facility. This is a hands-on, shop-floor-facing role for someone who has run HR at a manufacturing site with a mixed workforce of permanent staff and a sizeable contract workforce.

You will be the single point of accountability for statutory compliance, contract labour governance, plant discipline, manpower availability and audit readiness. In a regulated pharmaceutical environment, HR is not a back-office function: training records, personnel hygiene and qualification documentation are inspected during GMP and customer audits, and you will own them.

Reports to: Plant Head, with a functional line to Director and Corporate HR.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Industrial Relations & Contract Labour

- Maintain industrial harmony and day-to-day discipline across the shop floor; handle grievances, misconduct, domestic enquiries, show-cause notices, charge sheets and disciplinary action in line with standing orders.
- Govern the contract labour ecosystem end to end — contractor selection, CLRA licensing, ensuring contractors' statutory obligations (wages, PF, ESI, bonus) are met, headcount reconciliation, gate-pass control and periodic contractor audits.
- Manage absenteeism, attrition, overtime and shift deployment to keep production lines fully manned.
- Represent the company before the Labour Department, conciliation officers and, where required, in labour court matters with external counsel.

Statutory Compliance & Audit Readiness

- Own compliance under the Factories Act 1948 and Haryana Factories Rules, Contract Labour (R&A;) Act 1970, EPF & MP Act, ESI Act, Payment of Wages, Minimum Wages, Payment of Bonus, Payment of Gratuity, Maternity Benefit Act, Employees' Compensation Act, Industrial Disputes Act and the Apprentices Act.
- Maintain all statutory registers, returns, licences and renewals; ensure factory licence, contractor licences and related approvals are always current.
- Handle inspections and visits by the Factory Inspector, Labour Department, EPFO and ESIC, and close observations within timelines.
- Constitute and run the Internal Committee under the POSH Act 2013, including awareness sessions and annual reporting.
- Track readiness for the consolidated Labour Codes and prepare the plant for transition.

GMP & Regulatory Support (pharma-specific)

- Maintain personnel training records, job descriptions, qualification and competency matrices to a standard that withstands GMP, WHO-GMP and customer audits.
- Coordinate induction and refresher training on cGMP, personnel hygiene, gowning, documentation practice and safety, in conjunction with QA.
- Ensure pre-employment and periodic medical examinations, health records and fitness certification are complete for all plant personnel.

Talent Acquisition & Manpower Planning

- Prepare the annual manpower budget with the Plant Head; forecast requirements by department, shift and season.
- Run end-to-end recruitment for production, QA, QC, engineering, warehouse and support functions — sourcing, interviewing, salary fitment and onboarding.
- Build local sourcing channels across the Rai–Sonipat–Kundli–Delhi NCR belt, including ITIs, B.Pharm and D.Pharm institutes and apprenticeship schemes.

HR Operations, Payroll & Time Office

- Supervise the time office — attendance, shift rosters, leave, overtime and the monthly payroll input for both staff and contract workforce.
- Administer full and final settlements, gratuity,

bonus and statutory deductions accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain complete personnel files, employment contracts and HRIS data.

Performance, Engagement & Welfare

- Run the annual appraisal cycle, goal setting and increment/promotion recommendations for the plant.
- Identify training needs and build an annual training calendar covering technical, behavioural and safety modules.
- Oversee canteen, transport, uniforms, drinking water, restrooms, first aid and other welfare amenities required under the Factories Act.
- Drive engagement — safety week, plant celebrations, suggestion schemes, reward and recognition — and act on employee feedback.

Reporting

- Publish a monthly plant HR dashboard covering headcount, attrition, absenteeism, overtime, manpower cost per unit, training man-hours and compliance status.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Must have

- 8–12 years of HR experience, with at least 4 years as the HR lead at a manufacturing plant.
- Demonstrated, hands-on ownership of Industrial Relations and contract labour management with a mixed permanent and contract workforce.
- Working command of the Factories Act, CLRA, EPF, ESI and allied labour legislation, with first-hand experience of handling statutory inspections.
- Fluency in English and Hindi — English for documentation, audits and corporate reporting; Hindi for shop-floor and contractor interaction.
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Sonipat / Kundli / North Delhi NCR belt, with reliable daily access to Rai.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with payroll or HRIS systems.

Preferred

- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Exposure to GMP or customer audits from the HR and training-records side.
- LLB or a Diploma / Certificate in Labour Laws.
- Experience with SAP HR, Darwinbox, GreytHR or a comparable platform.

WHAT WE OFFER

- Full functional ownership of HR at the plant, with direct access to the Plant Head and Directors — not a coordination role reporting into a layer of corporate HR.
- A growing manufacturing operation where HR decisions visibly affect output.
- Compensation as per industry standards, commensurate with experience.
- Statutory benefits including PF, ESI/mediclaim and gratuity.

Rapross Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. is an equal opportunity employer. All applications are assessed on merit.
