The role of the Operations Manager is a full-time role and is based out of our Bhiwadi unit. We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage the complete operations of our Bhiwadi Plant where we manufacture Coated Resin Rubber Sheets, TPR Soles, TPU Soles, EVA Injection Molded Soles (IM-EVA Soles), EVA Compression Molded Soles (CM-EVA Soles), Rubber Molded Soles, and EVA Compounds.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of rubber and polymer processing, injection molding and compression molding processes and machinery, technical trouble shooting and problem solving related to rubber and polymer related product manufacturing, color matching of Rubber/EVA compounds, along with the ability to efficiently plan and manage production, workers, quality, and general factory operations.
As Operations Manager, you will operate with high autonomy—overseeing daily production, supplier & customer interactions, new machinery installations, team management, and shop-floor discipline. You will work directly under and report to the Managing Director and the Vice President of the Company.
The responsibilities of the Operations Manager include but are not limited to the following:
1. Production Planning and Timely Problem Resolution
- Actively lead Production Planning & Control (PPC) to allocate plant capacity, track daily targets, and fulfill customer orders on schedule.
- Handle all daily production-related issues immediately, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Act as the senior floor authority on process troubleshooting across Injection Molding (EVA, TPR, TPU) and Compression Molding (EVA, Rubber) machinery.
- Monitor daily output versus target, address bottlenecks immediately, and optimize raw material usage.
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery execution strictly adhering to committed timelines and customer quality standards.
- Identify and resolve technical and production-related issues on the shop floor.
2. Productivity, Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Rigorously monitor key operational metrics and take corrective action wherever necessary: Productivity, Rejection Rates, Material Wastage/Scrap, and Machine Downtime.
- Actively develop and implement strategies to eliminate waste, improve yields, shorten cycle times, and optimize line efficiency.
- Enforce strict Quality Standards, Process Discipline, 5S methodologies, and ensure total safety compliance across all production lines and utilities.
3. Multi-Tier Team Leadership & Motivation
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a multi-tier team, including Assistant Production Managers, Shift Supervisors, Maintenance teams, and Operators.
- Conduct strategic manpower planning, manage contractor labor, resolve shop-floor friction, and foster a culture of accountability, safety, and high morale.
4. Vendor Development, Raw Material Trials & Technical Feedback
- New Vendor Development: Independently identify and develop new suppliers for existing raw materials to improve material quality, supply stability, or cost efficiency.
- Trial Execution & Technical Feedback: Coordinate, execute, and oversee shop-floor trials for both new raw materials and improved versions of existing materials.
- Trial Finalization: Analyze and provide detailed technical feedback to vendors and validate materials before finalizing new suppliers for commercial use.
5. Machinery Projects & Facilities Maintenance
- Take the lead on the installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery and production lines during plant expansions or upgrades.
- Oversee breakdown execution and preventive maintenance schedules for injection molding machines, presses, mixing mills, kneaders, boilers, chillers, compressors, DG sets, splitting machines, drives and hydraulic systems.
6. Customer Communication & Color Approval
- Communicate directly with customers over the phone regarding order timelines, technical specs, sample updates, and delivery schedules.
- Guide junior technicians/chemists on color matching and provide final shade approvals against customer shade cards prior to bulk production runs.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 12+ years of hands-on plant operations leadership in Polymer & Rubber manufacturing. Direct experience in Footwear Sole / Footwear Component manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Machinery Expertise: Deep practical command of both Injection Molding (EVA, TPR, TPU) and Compression Molding (EVA, Rubber) machinery and processing.
- Vendor & Material Technicality: Strong technical knowledge to independently assess raw materials, conduct trials, develop vendors, and provide actionable technical feedback.
- Operational Control: Proven track record in monitoring OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), waste reduction, rejection control, 5S implementation, and plant safety.
- People Management: Excellent leadership ability to guide Assistant Managers, supervisors, and labor teams. Solid leadership presence on the floor and the ability to handle and motivate workers while maintaining high productivity and quality standards.
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Polymer Technology, Plastic Processing, Rubber Technology, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Hindi (essential for client communications via email, vendor negotiations, and worker management).
- Other Competencies: Strong Organization, Administrative, Co-ordination, Planning, and Time-Management Skills

Salary: ₹85,000 per month (Negotiable for the right candidate based on experience and capability)
