The manager is responsible for keeping moulding, assembly and utility machines running reliably with minimum downtime. The role is highly hands-on, combining machine maintenance, spare-parts planning, vendor management, team management and coordination with Production and HR.

- Machine Maintenance
- Maintain injection moulding machines, moulds, assembly lines, conveyors, compressors, chillers, dryers and utilities.

- Achieve 95%+ machine uptime.

- Ensure 100% preventive maintenance is completed on time.

- Manage breakdowns quickly and conduct RCA for recurring problems.

- Improve MTBF and reduce MTTR.

- Moulding &
- Assembly

- Maintain injection moulding equipment and moulds.

- Keep assembly lines, fixtures, jigs, testing equipment and conveyors operational.

- Work with Production to minimise downtime and improve productivity.

- Identify opportunities for automation and machine improvements.

- Spare Parts &

- Vendors

- Identify critical spares and maintain adequate stock.

- Plan purchases before parts are urgently required.

- Develop reliable maintenance vendors.

- Compare vendors on quality, price, delivery and service.





- Reduce emergency purchases and dependency on single suppliers.

- Cost &

- Maintenance Planning

- Prepare maintenance budgets.

- Control maintenance costs without affecting reliability.

- Track breakdown costs, spare consumption and machine-wise maintenance costs.

- Maintain proper maintenance records and reports.

- Team Management
- Manage technicians, electricians, fitters and other maintenance staff.

- Plan shifts and manpower deployment.

- Train the team in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and safety.

- Monitor attendance, discipline and productivity.

- HR &

- Labour Coordination

- Work with HR on absenteeism, discipline, manpower shortages and shift deployment.

- Support recruitment and training of technical staff.

- Escalate responsible labour/manpower issues to HR and the Plant Head.

- Safety
- Ensure safe maintenance practices and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout).

- Ensure electrical, mechanical and utility equipment is safe to operate.

- Stop operation of machines presenting serious safety risks.
