Job Title: Operations Executive – Domestic & Short-Haul Travel

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Travel Operations specialist to manage our Domestic (India) and Short-Haul International travel vertical (covering Dubai, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bhutan).

This is not a passive coordination role—you will be the single point of ownership for end-to-end operational delivery, from itinerary costing to ground execution. You will work directly with DMCs, hotels, and transport vendors to ensure seamless, cost-effective, and unforgettable travel experiences for our leisure and corporate clients. Key Responsibilities

1. Itinerary Planning & Costing (Domestic + Short-Haul)

Design, cost, and execute customized tour packages for domestic leisure routes (Himachal, Kerala, Rajasthan, Goa, Northeast, Andamans, etc.) and short-haul international destinations (Dubai, Thailand, Singapore, Bali, Maldives, etc.).

Prepare competitive, profitable costing sheets with zero calculation errors.

Build creative add-ons (safaris, water sports, cultural shows, desert safaris, island excursions) to enhance client experiences and boost margins.

2. End-to-End Booking & Vendor Management

Manage all ground bookings—hotels, coaches, private cabs, houseboats, safari vehicles, sightseeing tours, and cruise ferries—via supplier portals, DMC partners, and direct hotel contracts.

Negotiate aggressively with hotels and local DMCs to secure best-in-class net rates, complimentary upgrades, and value-adds (free meals, airport transfers) for clients.

Build and maintain a strong vendor network across all key domestic & short-haul destinations.

3. MICE & Corporate Group Handling





Execute end-to-end logistics for corporate/MICE groups (off-sites, dealer trips, incentive tours) across domestic and short-haul locations.

Coordinate venue selection, conference room bookings, team-building activities, gala dinners, and on-ground event management.

Handle group check-ins, special meal requests, and VIP protocols with precision.

4. Documentation & Compliance

Oversee travel documentation: domestic/International flight tickets, hotel vouchers, insurance, and visa processing (for UAE, Thailand, Singapore, etc.).

Ensure 100% accuracy in all guest details, vouchers, and travel confirmations before dispatch.

5. Real-Time Crisis Management & 24x7 Support

Act as the primary emergency contact for clients on the ground—handle flight delays, hotel overbookings, vehicle breakdowns, medical issues, or weather disruptions with speed and composure.

Provide round-the-clock support (including weekends and holidays) via phone and WhatsApp for clients currently traveling.

Turnaround time mandate: Respond to urgent client calls within 5 minutes; resolve operational escalations within 30 minutes.

6. Reporting & CRM Discipline

Maintain meticulous client records, booking logs, and cost sheets in the CRM system.

Prepare daily operational trackers, weekly sales reports, and monthly vendor performance reviews.

Track and report cost savings achieved through vendor negotiations.

Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

Education: Bachelor's degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 4 years of hands-on domestic and short-haul international operations in a travel agency, tour operator, or DMC.

Destination Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of:





Domestic: Himachal, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Kerala, Goa, Northeast, Andamans, wildlife circuits.

Short-Haul: UAE (Dubai/Abu Dhabi), Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan.

Systems Proficiency:

Advanced MS Excel (costing, reconciliation, data analysis).

MS Word & PowerPoint (itinerary presentation).

Experience with any CRM or booking management software.

Vendor Network: Existing relationships with hoteliers, DMCs, and transport operators in key domestic and short-haul destinations is a strong advantage.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal English & Hindi. Must be able to negotiate assertively with vendors and communicate professionally with high-end clients.

Soft Skills:

Ownership mindset—you don't pass the buck; you solve it.

Crisis calmness—you don't panic when a hotel is overbooked at 11 PM; you find an alternative and upgrade the client.

Unshakable organizational skills—you can juggle 20 moving groups without dropping a single detail.

Availability: Must be willing to work 6 days a week and be available for client support on weekends/holidays, as travel never stops.

Preferred (Good to Have)

Experience handling inbound to India operations for foreign tourists (a plus).

Certification in travel & tourism (IATA, TAFI, or equivalent).

Knowledge of GDS (Galileo/Amadeus) for flight checks—not mandatory but advantageous.
