Responsible for NPI and engineering execution of PCB Assembly projects in an AS9100-certified aerospace/defense or EMS environment, ensuring compliance to IPC standards and smooth transition from prototype to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead NPI activities for PCBA from prototype to production.
- Execute APQP, BOM validation, and project planning.
- Conduct DFM/DFA reviews as per IPC guidelines.
- Ensure process readiness and compliance with AS9100 quality requirements.
- Coordinate prototype, pilot, and production builds with cross-functional teams.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions during NPI and early production.
Technical Skills & Standards
- Strong experience in PCB Assembly (PCBA).
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- SMT / PTH processes
- Pick & Place machines
- Reflow and Wave soldering
- X-ray inspection
- PCBA-level testing (ICT, FCT, Functional testing)
- Working knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721 preferred).
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems, documentation, and audits.
Qualification
- Diploma / BE / BTech in Electronics or related discipline.
- 58 years of relevant experience in Aerospace / Defense / EMS manufacturing.
