Main responsibilities:

Support, implement, test, and deploy infrastructure solutions (including factory devices like Tablets, mobile devices, scanners, printers, IPC's , storage, networking components, and cloud systems) to ensure they meet technical, functional, and security specifications.

Maintain and implement device solutions for both development and operational environments, ensuring alignment with infrastructure best practices, performance goals, and security requirements.

Collaborate by working closely with Production, OT, IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and external partners to ensure stable device operations to ensure the infrastructure meets design and performance expectations.

Produce and review documentation to support infrastructure implementation, including change records and operational handover documentation.

Plan and execute device rollouts, refresh cycles, and modernization initiatives across multiple sites by strictly adhering to change and release management policies and processes to ensure smooth delivery of solutions to specialized teams for post-deployment support.

Create and maintain operational documentation, standards, work instructions, and training materials.

Document and review infrastructure-based solutions and change records according to Essity IT standards, ensuring smooth handover to specialized teams for ongoing support.

Contribute to the Essity Application Development and Infrastructure community, sharing knowledge on infrastructure best practices and proposing effective solutions.

Establish relationships and effective communication with stakeholders across the organization ( Factory Onsite IT, Architecture, Business, Logistics IT, Cloud)





This role typically reports to IT Infrastructure Manager or Team Lead.

Competencies & Skills:

Functional Competencies

Experience & robust understanding of industrial devices, operating systems (Android, Windows IoT), peripherals, and communication interfaces.

Experience with device management platforms, policy configuration, remote control, app deployment, and compliance enforcement.

Familiarity with industrial WLAN setups, roaming behavior, VLANs, authentication methods, and RF considerations.

Knowledge of automation for infrastructure deployment and management tasks.

Comfortable working across IT, OT, production, engineering, and external vendors.

Fundamental understanding of infrastructure security practices to ensure secure environments.

Capability to undertake basic version control and contribute to the development of infrastructure code.

Ability to assess infrastructure systems, analyze performance, and report issues.

Basic experience in writing and running infrastructure performance tests to ensure functionality.

The Infrastructure Implementation Engineer at Essity works closely with cross-functional teams and the Infrastructure Technology Architects to support engineering activities during the design, deployment and implementation phases of new infrastructure solutions. This includes configuring, testing, and deploying systems such as factory devices, servers, storage, and networking components, ensuring alignment with technical, security, and business requirements. The role focuses on supporting implementation of infrastructure solutions and then handing them over to specialized teams for post-deployment operations.
