Role Description The Mechanical Engineer role at Banergy is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. In this role, the engineer will design and develop mechanical components and systems, create and review detailed drawings and models using CAD tools, and support machine design activities from concept through production. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure product quality and reliability.

Daily responsibilities include participating in R&D; initiatives, conducting technical analysis and calculations, preparing documentation,



and assisting in testing and validation of prototypes.

The Mechanical

Engineer will also contribute to project planning, coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing teams, and help implement continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Banergy’s values.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering fundamentals and practical application skills.
- Candidates should possess Machine Design skills, including component selection, stress analysis, and system optimization.
- Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for 3D modeling, drafting, and design documentation.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills to plan, execute, and monitor engineering projects effectively.
- Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D;) skills to explore new technologies, materials, and design approaches.
- Relevant skills such as knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials engineering, and basic electronics or controls are beneficial.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field; prior experience in industrial or product development environments is an advantage.
