Technical Skills Requirement

- Experience in cross-plant & cross functional collaboration. Understanding of cross-plant requirements and needs of category and procure the same as per SOP. Technical understanding of the Marketing, IT, Indirect requirement related to materials / services, Turnkey Systems, Projects required by various Plants / Corporate functions.
- Driving the procurement cycle – RFQ – vendor assessment – techno-commercial evaluation – negotiations – vendor finalisation – Purchase order processing.
- Detailed Techno-commercial evaluation of proposals with experience Indirect, Marketing, IT, Project related functions.
- Cost effective procurement of equipments, services and projects.
- Technical understanding of various material, services, systems for the Category.

- Day to day coordination with vendors and internal stake holders.
- Strong understanding of Category related items necessary to evaluate vendor proposals and ensure that the purchased products meet the organization's requirements.
- Ability to assess the technical specifications of products and services.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement tools and systems, with experience in SAP or other ERP systems,



and a deep understanding of procurement methodologies and processes.
- Adaptability to agile processes, demonstrating strong collaboration, time management, and flexibility to adjust to rapidly changing requirements.

Managerial Skills Requirement
- Should be hardworking, polite, team player working with highest ethical standards and integrity.
- Excellent buying, sourcing, negotiation skills.

Summary / Purpose of the role

- Category Buyer for procurement of various commodities and services under Marketing, IT, Finance, QC, etc
- Detailed Techno-commercial evaluation of proposals with experience in IT, Marketing, Corporate materials / services, Assets, various turnkey systems etc.
- Driving the procurement cycle – RFQ – vendor assessment – techno-commercial evaluation – negotiations – vendor finalisation – Purchase order processing.
- Delivery of savings (time, cost, quality) towards overall business and Cost-effective procurement of equipment, services and projects.
- Day to day coordination with vendors and internal stake holders.

Key Responsibilities

- Category Buyer for Procurement of Materials / Services related to Marketing, IT, Projects etc.




- Category Buyer for procurement of Marketing, IT, QC, Equipments, Services, Systems for Plants / Offices viz. IT Hardware, Software, Services, Licenses, Marketing related material & services etc.
- Responsible for RFQ, vendor assessment, techno-commercial evaluation, Cost estimation, Price Comparison, negotiations, vendor finalisation, Purchase order processing.

- Responsible for coordinating technical evaluations between the User team & vendors like site visit by vendors, etc.
- Preparation of Techno-Commercial Comparison sheet as per the SOA

- Achieve cost reduction on procurement of entire IT, Materials / Services / Projects.
- Active coordination with Plant, Corporate Team, end user for detailing related to purchase requisitions and specifications.
- Visit to Vendors & Plants for necessary evaluation / coordination.
- Responsible for tracking, record keeping and maintaining all commercial documentations related to order finalisation and achieve KPIs in respective area
- Submission of weekly and Monthly MIS
- Responsible for purchase Planning & Procurement, vendor management & vendor development.
- Delivery of savings (time, cost, quality) towards overall business.
- Maintain visibility on savings generation process through standard cost levers.

NOTE – The above responsibilities are considered to be best to achieve company objectives. However, Category Manager or Head Procurement may assign additional responsibility from time to time.
