About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator / Maintenance Technician with hands-on experience in AFR & RDF processing plants, cement industry, shredders, trommel machines and waste-processing equipment.

The candidate will be responsible for safe machine operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and basic repair of plant machinery to ensure smooth and continuous production.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor RDF/AFR processing machines and equipment.
- Operate Shredder, Trommel, Conveyor, Magnetic Separator, Feeder and related equipment.
- Perform routine inspection of machines and identify abnormal noise, vibration, overheating, leakage and other issues.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Check and maintain bearings, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, belts, couplings, rollers and shafts.
- Attend breakdowns and support quick restoration of machines.
- Assist in shredder blade/knife replacement, alignment and maintenance.
- Carry out cleaning, lubrication and tightening activities as per maintenance schedules.
- Support maintenance of Trommel screens, conveyors and feeding systems.
- Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance engineers during major breakdowns.
- Follow SOP, PPE, safety procedures, LOTO and housekeeping requirements.
- Maintain basic records of machine operation, breakdowns and maintenance activities.




- Ensure proper segregation and handling of RDF/AFR material during operations.
- Support continuous improvement activities to reduce machine downtime.

Required Skills
- Hands-on knowledge of Shredder and Trommel machines.
- Basic knowledge of AFR/RDF processing and cement plant operations.
- Positive understanding of mechanical components and maintenance.
- Ability to identify machine faults and perform basic troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of bearings, gearbox, conveyor, chain drive, belt drive and lubrication systems.
- Ability to work in a dusty/heavy industrial environment.
- Safety-conscious and physically fit for plant operations.
- Willingness to work in shift operations.

Educational Qualification ITI – Fitter / Mechanical / Electrician or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.

Experience

2–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in machine operation and/or maintenance.
