Job Title : Librarian

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Librarian to manage and maintain the Medical College Library. The ideal candidate will support students, faculty, researchers, and healthcare professionals by ensuring efficient access to medical literature, journals, digital resources, and library services while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the medical college library.
- Organize, classify, catalog, and maintain books, journals, e-books, and digital resources.
- Assist students, faculty, researchers, and hospital staff in locating library materials.
- Maintain subscription records for medical journals, e-journals, and online databases.
- Ensure proper issue, return, and inventory of library resources.
- Maintain library automation software and digital catalogues.
- Develop and update library collections based on academic and research requirements.




- Support accreditation requirements (NMC/NABH) by maintaining library records and documentation.
- Conduct orientation programs for new students and faculty on library usage.
- Promote evidence-based learning by facilitating access to medical literature.
- Prepare periodic reports on library utilization and resource management.
- Coordinate with publishers, vendors, and academic departments for procurement of books and journals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and student-friendly library setting.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies regarding copyright and information resources.

Qualification :

- M.Lib.I.Sc.
