Interior Designer / Project Architect – Chennai

nWe are looking for an experienced and execution-focused Interior Designer / Project Architect who can take complete responsibility for residential and commercial interior projects — from understanding the client's requirements and developing the design to preparing working drawings, BOQs and coordinating execution at site.

nKey Responsibilities

n Meet clients, understand their requirements, budget and design preferences.

nConduct site visits, measurements and site assessments.

n Develop space plans, concepts, mood boards and design proposals.

nPrepare detailed 2D drawings, floor plans, elevations and sections.

n Create professional 3D models and photorealistic renders.

nPrepare detailed working drawings that can be directly used by contractors and site teams.

n Design modular kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, storage units and custom furniture.

nPrepare electrical, lighting, false-ceiling, flooring and basic plumbing layouts.

n Prepare BOQs, quantity estimates and material specifications.

nAssist in project cost estimation and quotation preparation.

n Design projects according to the client's approved budget while maintaining aesthetics and functionality.

nCoordinate with carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters, civil teams, vendors and other contractors.

n Visit project sites and ensure execution is carried out according to approved designs and drawings.

nIdentify execution issues and provide practical design/site solutions.

n Conduct quality checks, snagging and support final project handover.

nCoordinate with vendors and compare quotations, materials and specifications.

n Handle multiple residential and commercial projects simultaneously.

nSoftware Skills – Required

nCandidates should be proficient in:

nAutoCAD

n SketchUp

nEnscape and/or V-Ray

n Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets





nKnowledge of the following will be an added advantage:

nRevit / BIM

n Lumion

n3ds Max

n Adobe Photoshop / presentation software

nTechnical Knowledge Required

nSpace planning

n Residential and commercial interior design

nModular kitchens and wardrobes

n Laminates, acrylic, veneer, PU and other finishes

nInterior hardware and accessories

n False ceilings

nLighting and electrical layouts

n Flooring and tile layouts

nBasic plumbing coordination

n Furniture and custom joinery

n Material selection

nWe are looking for a designer who understands how a design is actually built and can take ownership of the project through:

nThe candidate should have:

n Strong design sense and creativity

nStrong technical and execution knowledge

n Ability to develop unique designs based on individual client requirements

nGood understanding of project budgets and costing

n Positive client presentation and communication skills

nAbility to coordinate contractors and site teams

n Problem-solving ability at project sites

nWillingness to travel to project sites as required

n Ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects
