Role Summary The Senior Manager – Liaisoning & Governance owns RMX's regulatory and statutory interface with government and financial authorities, ensuring uninterrupted, compliant import operations and strong governance standing across RBI, MCA, FEMA, and customs/trade bodies. The role also supports the VP Finance on factoring operations and is responsible for the organisation's readiness for GST audits and its access to applicable government incentives and subsidy schemes.

Key Responsibilities

Import Liaisoning

Own end-to-end import liaisoning for RMX, acting as the single point of accountability across all regulatory and government touchpoints involved in the import cycle — including:

- RBI (Reserve Bank of India) — liaisoning on foreign exchange and remittance-related matters under FEMA connected to import transactions.
- MCA (Ministry of Corporate Affairs) — ensuring corporate filings and governance matters linked to import/trade activity remain compliant.
- Customs — managing import clearance, correct IGST classification and valuation, and coordination with clearing agents, ports, and shipping lines for timely inward movement of goods.
- DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade) — handling import/export licences, authorisations, and policy compliance.
- RODTEP (Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products) — managing filings and claims accurately and on time.

Track and resolve import-related bottlenecks proactively across the above touchpoints, escalating risks to the VP Finance before they affect production or delivery timelines.

GST Audit Readiness





- Ensure the finance and compliance team is fully prepared for GST audits at all times — records, reconciliations, and supporting documentation maintained on an ongoing basis rather than reactively.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors/consultants to close audit queries and observations within timelines.

Government Incentives & Subsidies

- Proactively identify government incentive, subsidy, and export-benefit schemes applicable to RMX (state and central), and drive the application and claim process end to end.
- Maintain a tracker of scheme eligibility, application status, and realised benefit for management visibility.

Factoring Support

- Support the VP Finance on factoring operations, working in close coordination on documentation, lender/factor communication, and timely execution.

Reporting & Working Relationships

Reports to: VP Finance

Key interfaces: RBI, MCA, Customs, DGFT, RODTEP, GST authorities, clearing/customs agents, factoring partners, and internal finance and compliance teams.

Candidate Profile

- 8–12 years of experience in government/regulatory liaisoning, import-export compliance, or corporate governance, ideally within a manufacturing or export-oriented organisation.
- Working knowledge of RBI/FEMA regulations, MCA compliance, customs and IGST provisions, DGFT policy, and RODTEP.
- Sound understanding of GST law and audit processes.
- Prior exposure to government incentive/subsidy schemes and the application process.
- Solid stakeholder management skills — comfortable dealing directly with regulators, auditors, and senior leadership.
- High attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to work independently on compliance-critical matters.
