Role & responsibilities

- Oversee the overall day-to-day operations of the hospital unit and ensure smooth, efficient functioning of all departments.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve the units clinical, financial, and service excellence objectives.
- Monitor revenue generation by improving patient volumes, service utilization, referral business, and overall business performance.
- Prepare and monitor the units budget, control operational costs, and ensure optimum utilization of resources.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue, patient volumes, occupancy, expenses, productivity, and service quality.
- Ensure high standards of patient care, patient safety, customer service, and overall patient experience.
- Coordinate with department heads to ensure effective manpower planning, productivity, performance, and employee engagement.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, statutory requirements, quality standards, and accreditation guidelines.
- Identify operational gaps and implement corrective and preventive measures to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Handle patient grievances and escalated issues effectively, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining patient satisfaction.
- Build and maintain solid relationships with doctors, corporate clients, insurance companies, referral partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Monitor the performance of clinical and non-clinical departments and provide necessary guidance to achieve unit objectives.




- Coordinate with the central management and support functions such as HR, Finance, Marketing, IT, Purchase, and Facility Management.
- Review MIS reports and operational data to support effective decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead initiatives for business development, service expansion, cost optimization, and continuous improvement of the unit.
- Ensure proper maintenance of hospital infrastructure, equipment, facilities, and overall safety standards.
- Conduct regular unit rounds and review operational issues, patient feedback, staff concerns, and departmental performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient retention, referrals, repeat visits, and overall revenue performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and service excellence among employees.
- Report the overall operational and financial performance of the unit to senior management and recommend appropriate improvement measures.
- Ensure thorough knowledge and proper maintenance of all required documentation, records, policies, procedures, and evidence as per NABH standards, and ensure departmental compliance during internal and external audits.

Preferred candidate profile

- Qualification - Any PG Degree / Doctorate
- Experience - 8 to 15 years
- Candidate having experience in hospital industry are preferred
