Role Description The Immigration Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, supporting the end-to-end process for students and young professionals applying to study in New Zealand. The role involves assisting with application documentation, collecting and organizing client information, and preparing files for review by Licensed Immigration Advisers. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with clients and education partners, scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate records, and tracking case progress to ensure timely submission of applications and visa files.
The Immigration
Assistant will respond to client queries, provide clear guidance on required documents and processes, and help ensure compliance with relevant immigration and institutional requirements. This role also involves collaborating with internal teams to deliver a smooth and professional experience for every client.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong administrative and organizational skills, including document management, record-keeping, and attention to detail.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills, including clear written and verbal English, skilled client interaction, and the ability to explain processes in a simple manner.
- Candidates should possess good interpersonal and customer service skills, with a client-focused approach and the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Candidates should possess basic analytical and problem-solving skills to review documents, identify gaps, and support accurate application preparation.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in standard office software and tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, word processing) and be comfortable working with online application systems.
- Relevant experience in immigration consulting, overseas education counseling, or administrative support in a similar domain is beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is preferred; training in international education, immigration, or related fields is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
