Buffalo Extraction Systems (BES), a division of Cybernetik Technologies, is one of leading manufacturers of supercritical CO₂ (SC-CO₂) extraction systems. Our systems are used by nutraceutical, specialty food, pharma, and to produce high-value botanical extracts, essential oils and herbals.

We are hiring a Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) for our extraction lab in Pune. This is a hands-on, entry-level role designed for a recent graduate who wants to build a career in supercritical CO₂ extraction- a niche, high-growth field at the intersection of chemical engineering, process design, and natural product science. You will work directly alongside our Chemist and process engineers and application scientists on live customer projects.

Role Summary

Support day-to-day operations of the SC-CO₂ extraction lab: hands-on operation of extraction equipment, execution of extraction trials, biomass procurement and preparation,



and upkeep of lab records and inventory.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and support SC-CO₂ extraction systems under supervision, following SOPs and safety protocols
- Conduct extraction trials; record, tabulate, and compile trial data
- Source, receive, and prepare biomass feedstock for trials
- Support pre- and post-processing lab activities and routine equipment upkeep
- Maintain equipment logs, inventory records, and lab housekeeping

Qualifications

- Basic understanding of lab practices and safety
- Willingness to learn, positive attitude, and comfort with hands-on equipment and biomass handling
- Prior exposure to extraction, distillation, or process labs is a plus (not mandatory)
