German Study Counsellor

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and student-focused German Study Counsellor to guide students interested in pursuing higher education in Germany. The candidate will be responsible for understanding student profiles, recommending suitable study options, handling enquiries, and supporting students throughout the admission process.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students regarding higher education opportunities in Germany.
- Understand students' academic background, career goals, financial capacity, and study preferences.
- Recommend suitable German universities, institutions, courses, and study pathways.
- Provide accurate information about admission requirements, tuition fees, intakes, scholarships, blocked accounts, and living expenses.
- Explain the German education system, public and private universities, and available study options.
- Handle student enquiries through calls, walk-ins, online enquiries, and referrals.
- Follow up with prospective students and convert enquiries into applications.
- Assist students with university applications and required documentation.
- Coordinate with the admissions and visa processing teams.
- Maintain accurate student records, enquiry details, and follow-ups in the CRM.
- Keep updated on German university admission requirements and changes in student visa regulations.
- Participate in seminars, webinars, education fairs, and student counselling sessions.
- Achieve individual and team counselling and conversion targets.




- Provide regular updates and reports on enquiries, applications, offers, and conversions.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in Germany study counselling / overseas education counselling is preferred.
- Good knowledge of the German higher education system and admission process.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent counselling, convincing, and follow-up abilities.
- Good understanding of German university application requirements.
- Knowledge of APS, Uni-Assist, blocked account, student visa process, and German admission procedures will be an advantage.
- Good computer and CRM skills.
- Target-oriented, organised, and self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
