About the Role :

Seed-funded WealthTech startup, founding tech team, building AI/agentic features into a consumer product from day one. You'll own backend architecture end to end greenfield, no legacy to inherit while shipping LLM-powered features and setting the engineering bar for the team that grows around you.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build core Node.js services and REST APIs from scratch, designed to scale.
- Own system design end to end service boundaries, data flow, caching, queueing, failure modes, scale.
- Ship AI/ML-powered features, including LLM and agentic capabilities.
- Use LLMs and agentic tooling across the SDLC design, code generation, testing, debugging.
- Model data and optimize SQL/NoSQL queries; integrate third-party platforms.
- Own production reliability and debug live issues.
- Set the engineering standards the team will grow into.

Requirements :

- 6+ years hands-on backend engineering with Node.js, production-grade B2C systems at meaningful consumer scale.
- End-to-end backend ownership, including greenfield builds comfortable making early architecture calls under real constraints.
- Solid grasp of backend fundamentals API development,



service-oriented architecture, data structures, algorithms, clean code.
- Experience designing and maintaining APIs/backend services, including third-party integrations.
- Strong database experience (SQL and/or NoSQL) data modeling, query optimization, performance tuning.
- Background at a B2C product company/startup at meaningful scale (WealthTech, FinTech, or high-growth consumer product strongly preferred).
- Secure career history no frequent job-hopping.
- Experience building and shipping products that put LLMs and agentic workflows in front of real users.
- Comfortable with CTC-match compensation (no hike) plus ESOPs.
- Comfortable in an early-stage, fast-paced workplace with shifting priorities.
- Willing to own the backend end to end as a founding team member, 6 days/week in-office.

Good to Have :

- Already AI-native in your own workflow using LLMs/agentic tools across design, code gen, testing, and debugging.
- Tier-1 engineering college background.
- Prior founding engineer or early-stage startup experience.
