nRole Overview
nThe Finance & Accounts Specialist will anchor the financial operations of executive education programmes under Educational Outreach, IIT Bombay. The role requires hands-on ownership of accounting, compliance, and financial reporting, along with close coordination with programme teams, participants, and the Institute's Finance & Accounts Office.
nKey Responsibilities
nFinancial Management
nManage end-to-end financial operations across executive education programmes.
nMonitor programme budgets, revenues, and expenditures.
nTrack fee collections, refunds, and outstanding receivables.
nPrepare programme-wise financial summaries and financial statements.
nEnsure compliance with GST, TDS,
and applicable statutory regulations.
nSupport internal and external audits.
nMaintain complete documentation for compliance and audit readiness.
nAccounting & Bookkeeping
nMaintain accurate books of accounts for all programme-related transactions.
nProcess invoices, receipts, and journal entries.
nEnsure proper allocation of revenues and costs.
nConduct regular bank and ledger reconciliations.
nBilling & Financial Reporting
nRaise invoices and coordinate with participants and corporate partners for collections.
nTrack outstanding payments and ensure timely follow-up.
nMaintain participant-level financial records.
nPrepare periodic MIS and financial reports for management.
nProvide insights into programme financial performance.
nSupport budgeting and forecasting activities.
nEligibility Criteria
nB.Com / Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
nOR
nMBA (Finance) / M.Com / CA (Inter) / CMA (Inter) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
nPreferred Qualifications
nCA / CMA (fully qualified)
nExperience in programme finance or project accounting, preferably within the education sector
