Role Description The Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) will drive new venture ideas, pilot projects, and business models that align with Black Mass Energies’ vision for sustainable battery recycling and clean energy solutions. This full-time role is on-site in Bengaluru and involves identifying market opportunities, validating concepts, and designing go-to-market strategies for creative projects. The EIR will collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to perform market and competitive analysis, build financial models, and develop execution roadmaps.

Day-to-day responsibilities include testing hypotheses with customers, coordinating with operations and technical teams to assess feasibility, and preparing investor or partner-ready presentations and documentation.



The EIR will also support fundraising discussions, strategic partnerships, and the creation of scalable processes for new business lines.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong entrepreneurial, innovation, and business-building skills, including experience in launching or scaling startups, new ventures, or internal innovation projects.
- Candidates should possess skills in market research, competitive analysis, and financial modeling to evaluate opportunities and build data-driven business cases.
- Candidates should possess strategic thinking, business strategy, and go-to-market planning skills to design and execute growth initiatives.
- Candidates should possess project management and cross-functional collaboration skills to coordinate with product, operations, engineering, and leadership teams.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills to articulate complex ideas to stakeholders, partners, and investors.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with clean energy, battery recycling, sustainability, or related sectors; experience in climate tech or deep tech is highly beneficial.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, engineering, environmental science, or a related field are preferred, along with demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
