Job Title : Senior Engineer -Maintenance (Electrical)

Experience : 3-6 years, exposure to robotics/automated lines preferred

Qualification :Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation

Role Summary

Execute day-to-day electrical and robotic maintenance on the shop floor breakdown troubleshooting, PM execution, controller/electrical fault-finding, and installation support ensuring machines and utilities stay up and running under the guidance of the Assistant Manager Maintenance.

Critical Skills & Personal Attributes

- Working knowledge of industrial robot controllers (ABB / FANUC / KUKA / Yaskawa or similar) teach pendant operation, backup/restore, basic fault recovery
- Valuable understanding of PLC / HMI panels, VFDs, and servo drives; able to diagnose and rectify common electrical/electronic faults
- Familiarity with power distribution, control wiring, and plant utilities (LT panels, DG sets, compressors, chillers)
- Ability to read electrical schematics and GA drawings and work independently from them
- Methodical troubleshooter; keeps calm and follows fault-finding logic during breakdowns
- Willing to be hands-on on the floor and learn robot programming basics on the job

Follows safety protocols and LOTO discipline without exception

Main responsibility

- Robotics & Automation: Attend to robot and controller breakdowns, teach pendant faults,



and drive issues; assist with backup/restore and basic path corrections under supervision; log all interventions
- Controller & Electrical Systems: Troubleshoot and repair PLC panels, VFDs, servo drives, HMIs, and control wiring on machines, conveyors, and automated lines; update wiring/fault records
- Preventive Maintenance: Execute the daily/weekly/monthly PM checklist for assigned electrical and robotic assets; report deviations and close out PM tasks on time; maintain accurate PM logs
- Installation & Commissioning: Carry out panel wiring, cabling, earthing, and interlock work for new machine/robot/utility installations as per drawings and safety norms; support trial runs
- Utilities: Assist in maintaining LT panels, DG sets, compressors, chillers, and power distribution equipment; report abnormal energy consumption or utility faults promptly
- Reporting & Safety: Escalate breakdowns beyond scope to the Assistant Manager promptly; maintain PPE and LOTO discipline; support training of junior technicians on basic fault-finding
