Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an E-Commerce, Shopify, Journalist & Digital Marketing Executive at Aleph-Labs. The role involves managing and optimizing Shopify e-commerce stores, including product listings, content updates, and site performance monitoring.

The individual will plan and execute digital marketing campaigns across channels such as social media, email, and search, while tracking and reporting on key metrics. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching and writing press releases, news articles, and web content that align with brand messaging and campaign objectives. The role also includes collaborating with design, development, and marketing teams to ensure consistent storytelling, as well as supporting broadcasting or multimedia content initiatives when needed.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and execute the customer engagement funnel across EDM, Shopify Messaging, and WhatsApp Business, from acquisition and conversion through to retention and repeat purchase




- ⁠Independently plan and create content for campaigns, newsletters, promotions, and product launches, not just execute briefs handed to you
- ⁠Develop a content calendar and messaging strategy that keeps customers engaged between major sales events
- ⁠Manage and maintain the Shopify storefront, including product listings, theme updates, and page maintenance
- ⁠Track funnel performance (traffic, conversion, retention, campaign engagement) and translate data into actionable recommendations
- ⁠Liaise with design and retail team members to coordinate content and campaign assets
- ⁠Continuously test and improve strategies to grow online sales and customer lifetime value

Requirements

- At least 2-4 years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or content/communications, with clear ownership of campaigns or content (not just execution)
- ⁠Strong copywriting and content creation skills, able to generate ideas independently
- ⁠Demonstrated experience planning and running EDM campaigns (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Shopify Email, or similar)
- ⁠Understanding of the marketing funnel and how different channels (EDM, messaging, social) work together to drive conversion and retention
- Working knowledge of Shopify (product listings, page/theme configuration)
- ⁠Familiarity with WhatsApp Business or similar customer messaging platforms
- ⁠Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns/listings accurately
- ⁠Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, resource-lean environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience building retention or lifecycle marketing programsWorking knowledge of
- ⁠HTML/CSS or Shopify Liquid
- ⁠Prior experience within the lifestyle or homeware retail sector
- ⁠An eye for visual content and product presentation.
