Director – US Staffing Business Development & Client Acquisition

nAbout the Role
nWe are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director – US Staffing Business Development & Client Acquisition to lead our new business development and client acquisition initiatives within the US staffing market.
nThe ideal candidate will be a proven new-business hunter with a strong track record of acquiring direct US clients, MSP/VMS programs, prime vendors, and implementation partners across IT and Non-IT staffing.
nThis is a pure business acquisition role focused on generating new revenue. The successful candidate will own the complete sales cycle—from prospect identification and relationship building through client meetings, commercial negotiations, MSA/vendor onboarding, first job orders, and long-term account growth.
nThe candidate must have a demonstrable history of recent US client acquisitions and/or MSP/VMS program wins and be capable of independently converting prospects into active, revenue-generating staffing accounts.
nKey Responsibilities
n1. New Client Acquisition
n
n
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans focused on acquiring new US staffing clients.
n
- Identify and target direct clients across IT and Non-IT staffing segments.
n
- Build relationships with HR Directors, Talent Acquisition Leaders, Procurement Managers, Staffing Managers, Vendor Managers, Workforce Management teams, and other key decision-makers.
n
- Generate new business through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn prospecting, referrals, networking, and other outbound channels.
n
- Build, manage, and continuously expand a qualified sales pipeline.
n
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand client hiring requirements, workforce strategies, staffing models, and business needs.
n
- Convert qualified prospects into active staffing clients and establish recurring revenue opportunities.
n
n2. MSP / VMS Program Acquisition
n
n
- Identify, pursue, and acquire new MSP and VMS staffing opportunities.
n
- Establish strong relationships with MSPs, program managers, vendor managers, and workforce program stakeholders.
n
- Identify opportunities within major MSP/VMS ecosystems and contingent workforce programs.
n
- Own the MSP/VMS onboarding process from initial engagement through vendor approval.
n
- Manage vendor registration, compliance documentation, commercial negotiations, and onboarding requirements.
n
- Collaborate with recruitment and delivery teams to ensure successful execution after onboarding.
n
- Drive job orders, placements, and revenue from newly acquired MSP/VMS programs.

Direct
Client & Prime Vendor Development

- Identify and acquire new direct clients, prime vendors, and implementation partners.
n
- Develop strategic partnerships with established staffing organizations and workforce solution providers.
n
- Position the company as a preferred staffing and workforce solutions partner.
n
- Negotiate staffing rates, markups, payment terms, and commercial agreements.
n
- Drive MSA, SOW, and other contractual processes in coordination with management and legal teams.
n
- Ensure a smooth transition from signed agreement to the first active staffing requirement.
n
n4. End-to-End Sales Cycle Ownership
nOwn the complete business development lifecycle:
nLead Generation → Prospecting → Qualification → Client Meeting → Proposal → Negotiation → MSA → Vendor Onboarding → First Job Order → Delivery → Revenue Growth

- Own the sales pipeline and maintain accurate forecasts.
n
- Track prospects, meetings, proposals, negotiations, contracts, and onboarding activities.
n
- Maintain detailed CRM and sales activity records.
n
- Work closely with recruitment and delivery teams to ensure successful fulfillment of newly acquired accounts.
n
- Maintain consistent follow-up until the first job order is secured.
n
- Identify opportunities for account expansion, additional requirements, and long-term revenue growth.
n
n5. US Market Development
n
n
- Research the US staffing market and identify high-potential industries, companies, and workforce programs.
n
- Develop strategic target-account lists for new client acquisition.
n
- Monitor competitors, staffing trends, and changes within the MSP/VMS ecosystem.
n
- Identify opportunities across IT, Non-IT, Engineering, Healthcare, Finance, Manufacturing, and other relevant staffing segments.
n
- Develop innovative strategies to increase market penetration, client acquisition, and revenue growth.
n
nMandatory Qualifications & Experience
n
n
- 8+ years of experience in US Staffing Business Development, Sales, or Client Acquisition.
n
- Proven and measurable experience in new client acquisition.
n
- Demonstrated success acquiring direct US staffing clients.
n
- Hands-on experience acquiring and onboarding MSP/VMS programs.
n
- Experience working with prime vendors and implementation partners.
n
- Strong understanding of the US staffing industry and complete staffing sales lifecycle.
n
- Experience negotiating MSAs, SOWs, staffing rates, markups, payment terms, and commercial agreements.
n
- Proven ability to convert prospects from initial contact through signed agreement and first job order.
n
- Strong understanding of US staffing delivery models, including Contract, Contract-to-Hire, and Direct Hire.
n
- Strong knowledge of US business development and client acquisition practices.
n
- Excellent cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn prospecting, networking, and relationship-building skills.
n
- Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
n
- Ability to work independently, manage a sales pipeline, and deliver measurable revenue results.
