About the role
- Raaho is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer - AWS to own and evolve the production infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, incident management, and reliability foundations for its digital trucking marketplace. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Gurgaon, with one to two office days per week and rotational on-call responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and improve the AWS platform across networking, compute, storage, IAM, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub workflows.
- Build monitoring, alerting, on-call readiness, incident response, postmortems, SLIs, SLOs, and error-budget practices.
- Automate recurring reliability, security, and cost reviews using AI-assisted tooling; drive findings through remediation and preventive controls.
- Lead capacity planning and performance optimization, and partner with Product and Engineering on scale-related architecture.
- Build internal tooling, runbooks, and self-service workflows that help teams deploy safely and quickly.
- Make infrastructure decisions that balance reliability, security, delivery speed, and cost.
Required experience and skills
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or production infrastructure; growth-stage startup experience is preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and Amazon ECS; Amazon EKS is a plus.
- Practical knowledge of Amazon VPC, ALB/NLB, CloudFront,
Route 53, DNS, TLS, and mobile-client connectivity issues.
- Experience with CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, or comparable observability tools.
- Operational experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, including performance, metrics, capacity, backup, restoration, and health monitoring.
- Operational depth in at least two of Java/Spring Boot, Python, Go, and Node.js; coding hands-on strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub and Jenkins or equivalent CI/CD tooling, including build and deployment pipelines, testing hooks, artifact management, and code-quality or audit checks.
- Practical application and infrastructure security knowledge covering IAM, secrets, patching, hardening, and audit remediation.
- Experience with on-call operations, runbooks, incident response, postmortems, and corrective-action tracking.
- Hands-on use of Claude, OpenAI, or similar tools for operational tooling, automated detection, large-scale issue analysis, and human-reviewed remediation.
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or comparable Infrastructure as Code tooling.
Solid pluses include experience with cost review/optimization, senior stakeholders communication and platform engineering contributions in Python/Go. The ideal candidate demonstrates high standards, root-cause thinking, ownership during incidents, continuous learning, and a strong bias for automation.
