About The Role

GyanSys is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer / Consultant to join our expanding Data & Analytics practice. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background with hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-scale data engineering solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud and data platform technologies, contributing to the development of scalable data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses that support strategic business initiatives.

The Senior Data Engineer / Consultant will collaborate closely with solution architects, business stakeholders, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to build, deploy, and maintain high-performance data solutions. The role demands a strong understanding of modern data architectures, cloud platforms, and data engineering tools, with an emphasis on delivering reliable, secure, and cost-productive data systems that drive actionable insights and support enterprise analytics.

This position is based in Bengaluru, Pune, or Hyderabad, and is suitable for candidates who are available for immediate joining. It offers a full time engagement with opportunities for professional growth, skill enhancement, and impactful project delivery.





Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of four years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles is required.

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or Databricks Certified Data Engineer are highly preferred. Proven experience working with cloud platforms, relational databases, and modern data architectures is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines for enterprise data platforms, ensuring data quality, integrity, and accessibility.
- Create data engineering solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Python to process structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Build and optimize data pipelines using Delta Lake, Medallion Architecture, and modern Lakehouse/Data Platform architectures to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, APIs, cloud storage, ERP systems, and SaaS applications, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency.
- Design and implement efficient data models, data warehouses, data lakes, and Lakehouse solutions aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.
- Optimize performance and cost-efficiency of data pipelines, Spark jobs, SQL queries, clusters, and storage systems through tuning and best practices.
- Implement data governance, security,



validation, monitoring, and compliance measures to safeguard data assets and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and other DevOps tools to streamline deployment and version control processes.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement performance improvements to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including solution architects, business analysts, data scientists, and BI developers to deliver comprehensive data solutions.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to promote best practices within the team.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the organization.
