Role Description The Data Engineer at Dalm is a full time remote role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that power the company’s unified platform. Day-to-day tasks include implementing and optimizing ETL processes, developing and maintaining data models, and supporting data warehousing solutions to ensure reliable, high-quality data for analytics and operational use.

The Data

Engineer collaborates closely with product, analytics, and engineering teams to understand data requirements, improve data accessibility, and enhance performance across the platform. The role also involves monitoring data workflows, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to best practices for data governance,



security, and documentation.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Data Engineering skills, including experience building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure.

- Candidates should possess Data Modeling and Data Warehousing skills to design efficient schemas and manage structured and semi-structured data stores.

- Candidates should possess Extract Transform Load (ETL) skills to develop, schedule, and optimize data ingestion and transformation workflows.

- Candidates should possess Data Analytics skills to support reporting, dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis, and to collaborate effectively with analytics and business teams.

- Proficiency with SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala).

- Experience with cloud data platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data tools (e.g., Spark, Kafka, dbt, or similar) is beneficial.

- Understanding of data governance, security, and privacy best practices, including working with sensitive customer data.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.
