THE SCOPE OF THE ROLE
n01 — EDITING IS YOUR CORE SUPERPOWER
nYou should be an exceptional editor.
nYou'll own the edit across:
n
n
- Instagram Reels
n
- Meta performance ads
n
- Founder-led content
n
- Creator content
n
- Campaign films
n
- Product storytelling
n
- YouTube Shorts
n
- Brand films
n
- Behind-the-scenes content
n
- Event and community content
n
nYou should understand pacing, hooks, rhythm, sound, typography, transitions and visual storytelling instinctively.
nMore importantly, you should know that a great social edit isn't simply a shorter film.
nYou'll be expected to:
n
n
- Find the strongest hook
n
- Build multiple versions of the same idea
n
- Cut for retention
n
- Adapt content for different platforms
n
- Create 9:16-first storytelling
n
- Build performance variations
n
- Turn long-form footage into multiple pieces of content
n
- Know when to keep something raw and when to make it polished
n
nIf editing is your strongest skill, we want to see it immediately in your portfolio.
n02 — SHOOTING & PRODUCTION
nYou should be able to pick up a camera and make things happen.
nYou'll help conceive, plan and execute:
n
n
- Campaign shoots
n
- Product shoots
n
- Founder shoots
n
- Creator shoots
n
- UGC shoots
n
- Lifestyle shoots
n
- Social-first shoots
n
- Event and community content
n
nYou'll work across the entire production process:
nIdea → Treatment → Shot List → Production → Shoot → Edit → Delivery
nYou should understand:
n
n
- Camera fundamentals
n
- Lighting
n
- Composition
n
- Framing
n
- Movement
n
- Lenses
n
- Sound
n
- On-set problem solving
n
nYou don't need to be a cinematographer.
nBut you do need to know how to make a good-looking shot.
n03 — MOTION, CGI & VISUAL EFFECTS
nWe want someone who can make the screen do things.
nYou'll create:
n
n
- Motion graphics
n
- Kinetic typography
n
- Product animations
n
- 2D/3D motion
n
- CGI sequences
n
- Visual effects
n
- Transitions
n
- Product demonstrations
n
- Typography systems
n
- Motion identities
n
- Experimental visual formats
n
nYou should be comfortable moving between Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma and/or 3D workflows.
nExperience with Blender, Cinema 4D, Houdini or similar tools is a strong advantage.
nThe expectation isn't that you simply know software.
nThe expectation is that you know what to do with it.
n04 — AI VIDEO & GENERATIVE CREATIVE
nThis is a major part of the role.
nWe want someone who is actively experimenting with where AI is taking visual storytelling — not someone who has generated three images on Midjourney.
nYou'll use AI to:
n
n
- Create video concepts
n
- Generate impossible shots
n
- Build visual worlds
n
- Prototype campaign ideas
n
- Create storyboards
n
- Generate environments
n
- Extend footage
n
- Create transitions
n
- Develop characters
n
- Create motion concepts
n
- Generate voiceovers
n
- Experiment with sound
n
- Create product visualisations
n
- Version content
n
- Rapidly prototype ideas
n
nTools could include:
nHiggsfield, Runway, Kling, Veo, Midjourney, ChatGPT, ElevenLabs, Photoshop Generative Fill and whatever comes next.
nThe tool doesn't matter as much as the instinct.
nWe want someone who sees AI as a new creative medium, not just a productivity tool.
n05 — BUILD BRAND'S SOCIAL CONTENT ENGINE
nYou'll help turn content from one-off production into repeatable IPs.
nYou'll work on formats such as:
n
n
- Founder stories
n
- Everyday conversations
n
- Product explainers
n
- Creator formats
n
- Travel stories
n
- Behind the scenes
n
- Community stories
n
- Culture-led content
n
- Product experiments
n
- Recurring social franchises
n
- Seasonal formats
n
nYour job isn't only to make the first episode.
nIt's to ask:
n"Can we make this 50 times?"
nYou'll help develop the visual grammar, production process and templates that make good content faster to produce.
n06 — PERFORMANCE CREATIVE
nYou should understand that attention is a metric.
nYou'll create and iterate content for:
n
n
- Meta Ads
n
- Retargeting
n
- Product launches
n
- New hooks
n
- New angles
n
- Product benefits
n
- UGC
n
- Founder content
n
- Creator content
n
nYou'll work closely with marketing to understand:
nWhat made people stop?
nWhat made them watch?
nWhat made them click?
nWhat made them buy?
nYou'll learn from performance and feed that learning back into creative.
n07 — CREATIVE PRODUCTION
nYou'll own the execution layer between an idea and the internet.
nThat means:
nConcept → Production Plan → Shoot → Edit → Motion/CGI/AI → Versions → Publish
nYou'll coordinate with:
n
n
- Founders
n
- Designers
n
- Marketing
n
- Photographers
n
- Videographers
n
- Creators
n
- Stylists
n
- Production houses
n
- Agencies
n
nYou'll also maintain:
n
n
- Production calendars
n
- Shot lists
n
- Asset libraries
n
- Project files
n
- Edit templates
n
- Motion templates
n
- Content archives
n
- Versioning systems
n
nWe move rapid.
nSo being creatively good and operationally organised matters.
