Role Description The Costing Analyst role at Michell Bearings is a full time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The role involves preparing and reviewing cost estimates for products and projects, analyzing material, labor, and overhead costs, and ensuring accurate cost allocation in line with company standards.

The Costing

Analyst will monitor cost variances, support cost control initiatives, and collaborate with engineering, production, and finance teams to optimize profitability. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining costing databases, preparing cost reports and dashboards, supporting pricing decisions, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting activities.



The role also requires identifying cost-saving opportunities and providing clear, data-driven recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications B E in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering

Experience Required

Minimum 10 years

- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret cost data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
- Candidates should possess Cost Control and Cost Management skills to monitor expenses, manage budgets, and drive efficiency.
- Candidates should possess Cost Accounting and Finance skills to ensure accurate cost allocation, support pricing, and align with financial reporting requirements.
- Relevant experience in manufacturing or engineering environments, particularly in costing or financial analysis, is beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications in cost or management accounting are an advantage.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and ERP or costing software, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are desirable.
