Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of lawyers, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of legal work and services to clients.
- Oversee day-to-day legal operations and ensure effective execution against client requirements and business objectives.
- Provide strategic legal guidance on matters related to the BFSI sector, collections, recovery, and litigation.
- Ensure the team is well-versed with and compliant with applicable court procedures and legal processes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve operational and legal challenges effectively.
- Coordinate closely with India Post and other relevant external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a flexible, hands-on approach and actively participate in resolving ground-level operational and legal issues.
- Support the business and customer acquisition teams from a legal and commercial perspective, wherever required.
- Identify practical solutions to complex legal and operational challenges while balancing client and business requirements.
- Build a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing legal team.

Required Skills & Competencies





- 10+ years of relevant legal experience, with strong exposure to BFSI-related matters.
- Excellent knowledge of BFSI laws, regulations, litigation, and recovery processes.
- Strong understanding of court procedures and legal processes.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of lawyers.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a practical, flexible approach.
- Hands-on attitude with the ability to address and resolve ground-level issues.
- Solid stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work closely with business and customer acquisition teams.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Team player with a high sense of ownership and accountability.

Preferred Background Preference will be given to candidates currently or previously working with banks, NBFCs, digital lenders, or Asset Reconstruction Companies (ARCs), with strong exposure to BFSI legal matters, litigation, and recovery.
