Role Description The Business Development Manager – Flexible Packaging is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City, responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market presence for Shakoflex’s flexible packaging solutions. This position involves identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key customers, and managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure. The role includes conducting market research, understanding customer requirements, and collaborating with technical, design,



and production teams to propose appropriate packaging solutions.

The Business Development

Manager will prepare and deliver presentations, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure timely follow-up on leads and inquiries. The role also requires regular reporting on sales performance, participation in trade shows and industry events, and contributing to strategic planning for new markets and products.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid business development and sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and account relationship building.
- Candidates should possess skills in customer engagement and communication, such as negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates should possess skills in market analysis and strategic planning, including researching industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Candidates should possess basic technical understanding of adaptable packaging processes and formats, enabling effective collaboration with production and design teams.
- Candidates should possess organizational and reporting skills, including CRM usage, sales forecasting, and performance tracking.
- Relevant experience in flexible packaging, printing, or related manufacturing industries is highly beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Pune, travel to client locations as needed, and adapt to a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
