Role Description The Branch Legal Manager is a full-time, in office role based in Vadodara, responsible for overseeing legal matters at the branch level. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and vetting legal documents and contracts related to lending, securities, and recovery processes.

The Branch Legal

Manager will support branch operations by providing legal advice, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies, and coordinating with external counsel when required. Daily activities include monitoring legal risks, handling litigation and dispute resolution, preparing case summaries,



and maintaining accurate legal records and documentation. The role also requires collaboration with credit, collections, and business teams to enable legally sound decision-making and protect the company’s interests.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Law, with sound knowledge of corporate, banking, and financial services regulations.
- Experience in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting and reviewing agreements, notices, and other legal instruments.
- Proficiency in Legal Consulting, providing practical, solution-oriented legal advice to branch and business teams.
- Expertise in Legal Compliance, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements, regulatory guidelines, and internal policies.
- Hands-on experience in managing Legal Affairs, including litigation, dispute resolution, and coordination with external counsel.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized institution; enrollment with a Bar Council is an advantage.
- Prior experience in NBFCs, banks, or financial services organizations, particularly in secured lending or retail finance, is preferred.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in local languages relevant to Vadodara is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and demonstrate high levels of integrity and professional ethics.
