Role Description The BDA – Field Recruiter InstaHelp role at Urban Company is a contract, on-site position based in Chennai. In this role, the recruiter identifies, sources, and engages potential service professionals for the InstaHelp vertical through field visits, local networking, and community outreach.

The role involves screening candidates, conducting initial interviews, and supporting onboarding processes to ensure that new professionals meet Urban Company’s quality and compliance standards. The recruiter maintains accurate records of leads and hires, coordinates with internal teams for training and documentation,



and works toward meeting recruitment targets within specified timelines. Day-to-day activities also include explaining platform perks, addressing candidate queries, and promoting Urban Company’s brand as an employer of choice for service professionals.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders in the field.
- Candidates should possess basic data management and organizational skills, including maintaining recruitment trackers and reporting progress clearly.
- Candidates should possess negotiation and persuasion abilities to effectively explain value propositions and convert potential leads into active service professionals.
- Candidates should possess local market awareness and comfort with extensive fieldwork in Chennai, including travel within city limits.
- Candidates should ideally have prior experience in field sales, recruitment, or community outreach, preferably in services, staffing, or gig platforms.
- Candidates should have a minimum of a high school diploma or a related field is an advantage
- Candidates should be able to work independently, meet targets in a fast-paced environment, and uphold Urban Company’s standards of professionalism and fairness.
