Role Description The College Counselor is a full-time, hybrid role based in Surat, with flexibility for some work from home. The counselor will guide high school students through the entire college admissions process, including exploring academic and career interests, building application timelines, and creating individualized application strategies. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, advising on college lists, supporting essay brainstorming and review, and assisting with applications and documentation.

The role also involves explaining standardized testing options,



financial aid and scholarship opportunities, and admission requirements across different countries. The counselor will maintain detailed student records, communicate regularly with families, and collaborate with team members to deliver consistent, high-quality guidance.

Qualifications

- Interest / personal experience in college counseling and / or working with high school students in academic or guidance settings.
- Willingness to leadn about the college applications processes for the US and other regions, including timelines and requirements.
- Ability to provide student counseling focused on personal development, goal-setting, and stress management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple student cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- Comfort with online tools and platforms for counseling, documentation, and communication in a hybrid work workplace.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; relevant certifications or prior admissions experience are a plus.
