Role: Associate Technical Business Systems Analyst – RPA Tools
Location: Bangalore - India
We are looking to hire an Associate Technical Business Systems Analyst who will play a vital role at MillerKnoll. We are looking for a proactive individual with excellent technical and communication skills, who can join our team and bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. In this role, you will effectively collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop functionality and enhancements for the Robotic Process Automation work. In their day-to-day operations, this role will also field and resolve usage issues and perform other duties as assigned, that align with the role’s responsibilities and are required for the business. This role provides an opportunity to join our Business Process Automation team. While focused on professional development and hands-on training with RPA tools, this position will have exposure to agentic AI platforms and opportunities. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and end-users to gather requirements, design cutting-edge solutions, and ensure seamless alignment with business objectives.
Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting issues, enhancing workflows, and supporting teams on their automation journeys.
This role transcends organizational and geographical boundaries as it aims to support and enable the various divisions of MillerKnoll business group across the globe. The ideal candidate should understand the software development lifecycle and use agile methodology (SCRUM) to gather requirements, design, develop, test and implement solutions that deliver on end-user needs.
This position will be the key step between the business and development teams in terms of:
- Understanding and Communicating requirements
- Solving organizational information problems and requirements by analysing requirements and developing a plan for completing the work.
- Designing autonomous workflows powered by UiPath and Agentic AI
- Recommending system controls and protocols.
- Assisting in managing our business-as-usual change management process and associated tools.
- Provide support and advice to users in creating test plans and performing first pass testing.
- Analyse change requests to understand implications on other system users and other regions.
- Working with other team members to ensure consistency of approach and application, to provide business process improvements consistent with agreed departmental standards.
- Providing support and advice to end users to ensure that the investments made in systems provide for maximum productivity.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assists in achieving operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
- Define requirements by analysing business needs; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
- Working with our Change Management tool to ensure change requests are defined accurately and with enough detail for our development team to progress.
- Improves systems by studying current practices; proposing enhancements.
- Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.
- Define test plans and perform first pass suite testing.
- Feeds into project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and other elements.
- Assists in monitoring project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
- Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
- Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation.
- Prepares technical reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in skilled societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Required skills / traits
- Experience working on any RPA tool like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Pega, Power Automate
- Requirements Gathering and analysis experience, Software Design, Documentation, Development, Test and Deployment
- Hands-on working knowledge of Jira
- Should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Should be proactive in implementing and promoting process improvement initiatives.
- Experience in handling relationships with Business stakeholders, internal leadership and customers.
- Experience working with remote business partners and managers.
- Good technical writing, articulation and solution analysis skills.
- Ability to use Lean AI tools and/or experience with usage of AI tools in the project
Ideal candidate
- Bachelor’s / Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Having 3-5 years of overall experience with the last role being in a Technical Business Systems Analyst position for a minimum of 2 or more years.
- Ability to work individually or within a team environment and having requisite leadership qualities.
- Willing to work in India / UK shift on need basis and to be flexible to shift hours as needed to support the project
- Ability to stay focused on defined goals even when there are no immediate results and at the same time to be able to steer their own work even without explicit goals/instructions ensuring they are aligned with organizational strategy and objectives
- Ability to take ownership of multiple projects / tasks and priorities in a healthy work environment
- Solid understanding of Requirements gathering and analysis, System development, design, testing, implementation and support process.
- Ability to take direction, constructive criticism and work to specified deadlines
- Adhere to process and procedures defined for the role, the team and the organization
This role will work in the shift timings of 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. or 2:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. IST. The employees could be requested to work in a different shift on rare occasions to support the business during a critical issue or for any releases/migrations that maybe scheduled. Location of work is Bangalore, India. Initial 6 months, until successful completion of probation period, employees will work from office and then transition to hybrid working model.
