nnn Role Overview

nnThis role is responsible for end-to-end ownership of legal and compliance across the organization. You will act as a business enabler and risk controller, ensuring that all functions operate within regulatory frameworks while supporting growth.

nnn Key Responsibilities

nn Compliance Ownership

nOwn and manage a centralized compliance tracker across all functions

nEnsure adherence to:

- Legal Metrology (packaging, labeling, website, cartons)
n
- HR compliances (Shops & Establishment, PF, ESIC, PT, POSH)
n
- Secretarial compliances (MCA filings, board-related requirements)
n
- GST and taxation regulations
n
- Marketing and advertising compliance (Meta, Amazon, website claims)
n
- Insurance and statutory registrations
n
- Conduct regular compliance audits, identify gaps, and drive complete closure
n
- Proactively highlight risk areas and non-compliance issues to leadership
n
- IP & Brand Protection
n
- Lead trademark filings, renewals, oppositions, and enforcement action
n
- Monitor and act against IP infringements across marketplaces and digital platforms
n
- Develop and strengthen long-term IP strategy aligned with brand growth
n





nn Customs & Import Compliance

nOversee compliance under the Customs Act for all imports

nEnsure:

- Correct HSN classification
n
- Accurate and complete documentation
n
- Smooth customs clearance processes
n
- Track and drive resolution of ongoing legal/customs cases
n
- Stay updated with regulatory changes, certifications, and notifications
n
- Risk Mitigation
n
- Identify legal and regulatory risks across operations
n
- Design and implement preventive frameworks, SOPs, and controls
n
- Partner with internal teams to minimize exposure
n

nn Legal Contracts & Advisory

n

n
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and partners
n
- Provide timely legal advice (within defined TATs) to internal stakeholders
n
- Ensure company interests are fully protected in all agreements
n

nn Networks & Technology

n

n
- Build and manage a network of external legal experts and consultants
n
- Validate external opinions and ensure cost-effective engagement
n
- Implement legal tech/tools to improve tracking and efficiency
n

nnn Key Requirements

- LLB/LLM
n
- 4–7 years of experience in legal & compliance roles
n
- Solid exposure to D2C, e-commerce, imports, or manufacturing setups
n
- Ability to independently drive ownership and work cross-functionally
n
