The role

Two offline-first Android applications in under eight weeks — a Tamil-first Farmer app and a Pilot app — running on real handsets in real fields, where most agricultural applications in India quietly fail. A full working day with no signal is a requirement, not an aspiration.

Key responsibilities

- Own the Farmer app: onboarding and consent, pin-drop and saved fields, booking, payment, invoice, proof media and history
- Own the Pilot app: offline job list, credential check-in, custody capture, material draw, navigation, telemetry relay fallback, acreage and proof capture, collections and incident reporting
- Own releases, crash reporting, and the conflict policy — the server wins on money and custody, the device wins on captured media and timestamps, because the phone was there and the server was not
- Surface every conflict in an operations queue rather than resolving it silently
- Hit eight hours fully offline across six jobs, then a clean sync inside a three-minute window on a poor connection — no lost media, no silent conflicts, no manual repair




- Get a first-time farmer through a booking unaided in four minutes or less, observed in silence
- Hold crash-free sessions above 99.9 per cent, measured on rugged devices and on pilots’ own handsets — never on the developer’s phone

Eligibility
- Three to five years of native Kotlin, with at least two apps published and live
- Offline-first proven in production — sync, conflict handling, deletion semantics — and you can describe a conflict bug you shipped and then fixed
- Location, camera and push, and a crash-reporting tool used properly
- Release discipline: version codes, signing, staged rollout
- You test on at least five real devices, not an emulator

What you get
