We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- General Accounting Entries: Record and maintain day-to-day accounting transactions and general journal entries.
- Cash Book Reconciliation: Maintain and reconcile cash book records with actual cash transactions.
- Bank Book Reconciliation: Prepare and maintain bank book and perform regular bank reconciliation.
- GST: Assist in GST-related accounting, documentation and preparation/filing of applicable GST returns.
- TDS: Handle TDS-related calculations, records, deductions and compliance activities.
- Income Tax: Assist in income tax workings, documentation and preparation of required financial information.
- Working Capital: Monitor working capital requirements and maintain relevant accounting records.
- Balance Sheet: Assist in preparation and maintenance of balance sheet and other financial statements.
- Inventory Accounting: Maintain inventory records and coordinate with concerned departments for stock-related accounting.
- Cost Accounting: Handle cost-related accounting activities and assist in analysing costs.
- Manufacturing Accounting: Maintain accounting records related to manufacturing operations, production costs and expenses.
- Trading Accounting:
Handle accounting activities related to purchases, sales, stock and trading transactions.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
- Prepare accounting reports and statements as required by management.
- Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, customers and auditors when required.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Knowledge of GST, TDS and Income Tax workings
- Knowledge of reconciliation and financial statements
- Understanding of inventory, cost, manufacturing and trading accounting
- Good knowledge of MS Excel
- Valuable analytical and numerical skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Good communication and organisational skills
Preferred Candidate Candidates with 1–5 years of relevant accounting experience will be preferred. B.Com/M.Com candidates with practical knowledge of accounting, GST, TDS and reconciliation are encouraged to apply.
