Purpose of the role To participate in the day-to-day activities within the International Corporate Banking division by providing transactional support that help senior colleagues manage key client relationships, make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new opportunities.
Accountabilities
- Support the management of clients as a key member within the Relationship Team – assist in managing client relationships by responding to queries, supporting onboarding, and contributing to proposals for cash management, trade finance, and lending solutions.
- Work alongside senior bankers to help identify and manage opportunities within Global Treasury Coverage – with a focus on products and services provided by International Corporate Banking.
- Preparation of meeting materials, researching sector specific themes, and collaborating with teams across the Investment Bank.
- Support the end-to-end deal process, including credit analysis, financial modelling, internal committees and documentation for debt facilities and treasury solutions.
- Identify opportunities for new products and services, contribute to business cases, and assist in launching initiatives that align with sustainability and growth objectives.
- Take ownership for embedding risk controls, adhering to policies, and escalating breaches appropriately.
- Participate in structured learning programmers covering credit skills, client management, and treasury coverage products, while seeking continuous improvement through mentorship and feedback.

Key Accountabilities
As an ICB analyst, your main responsibilities will include:
Sales & Service: 85%:
- Lead the on boarding process for new clients or new products to existing clients. Ensure that new/existing clients and products are set up on relevant systems.
- Work with KYC team to obtain all relevant KYC documentation. Complete all required KYC refreshes across the portfolios.
- Maintain our internal records and pipeline.
- Provide day-to-day service provision for customers.
- Co-ordinate introduction to and from other areas of the Barclays Group where appropriate and monitor outcome.
- Prepare MI for internal stakeholders and team meetings
- Prepare client meetings presentations, engaging product specialists where appropriate.
- Prepare information for and attend customer meetings.
- Assist with development of, and revisions to the Client Relationship Plan.
- Work with Relationship Directors to identify potential new customers and maintain database of potential customers.
- Ensure a robust contact strategy is in place to improve or grow client satisfaction. Accurately handle, record and prevent customer complaints in line with our regulatory requirements and ensure great customer outcomes.
- Undertake annual client reviews and make recommendations to Relationship Directors for areas of improvement.
Deal Management and Support: 15%
- Co-ordinate the execution of certain transactions and implementation of certain products, including liaising with product specialists, internal support functions and other relevant advisors to ensure a good client experience with appropriate risk management practices.
- Credit analysis and transaction management skills to work effectively with Credit Risk managers, Debt Finance specialists and Transaction Management teams to manage the evaluation and execution of large structured transactions.
- Operating in accordance with risk appetite and lending procedures.
- Working to continuously improve credit knowledge and expertise.
- Ensure high standards of data quality are maintained at all times
- Ensure compliance with mandatory Risk policies and procedures relating to credit conformance and regulatory, operational, legal risk and Financial Crime.
- Demonstration of adherence to Barclays governance policies and controls.
