This role requires to work from Pune office 5days a week.

As a Senior Software Developer on the Web Engineering team, you will be part of the larger Core Engineering team building, maintaining, and evolving both the front end and back end systems that power Vena's platform and serve thousands of customers. You will work across the full stack - from crafting high-quality user interfaces to building and maintaining the APIs and server-side logic that support them. This role is a match for you if you are comfortable working across the entire codebase, care deeply about the end-user experience, and are energized by contributing to a product that real users depend on every day.

How You'll Make an Impact

- Design, build, and maintain high-quality features across the full stack - from front end components and user interfaces to back end APIs and server-side logic.
- Contribute to and help maintain the team's design system, ensuring consistency and reusability across the product.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs that support product features, ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Identify and resolve complex bugs and performance issues across the stack in foundational systems.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback that raises the quality of the team's output.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers across disciplines to deliver cohesive, well-integrated features.
- Support modernization efforts on core platform infrastructure, helping move the codebase forward incrementally and responsibly.
- Upskill other team members and help those around you grow technically.
- Drive the adoption of AI-driven development practices and innovative tooling to enhance engineering productivity and accelerate high-quality software delivery.

We'd Love to See

- 5-8 years of experience in full stack or combined front end and back end software development
- Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript / TypeScript
- Interest in AI and willingness to explore AI-driven solutions to enhance performance and drive efficiencies
- Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Experience working with and maintaining a design system




- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and front end performance best practices
- Comfortable contributing to large, established codebases across the full stack
- Experience in object-oriented methodologies and design patterns
- Prior experience in a Scrum / Agile environment
- Self-motivated and self-directed with a passion for building great software end to end

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Backbone.js is a plus
- Experience with Dropwizard or Spring Boot
- Experience with Java
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Experience with front end testing frameworks such as Playwright (Storybook and Selenium a plus)
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline and/or equivalent experience
