Program Manager - Aerospace Manufacturing | 8+ Years | Mumbai

We are looking for a Program Manager to lead end-to-end aerospace programs, ensuring adherence to contractual timelines, cost, quality, customer requirements, and delivery commitments.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the complete lifecycle management of aerospace programs, covering requirement capture, proposal, NPI, development, production, and final delivery.
- Develop and implement robust program and project plans, governance mechanisms, standard work, and performance metrics to ensure successful program execution.
- Ensure adherence to contractual timelines, customer specifications, cost targets, quality requirements, and delivery commitments.
- Act as the primary interface with key aerospace customers, OEMs, and defence agencies, managing customer reviews, negotiations, escalations, and program updates.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and other cross-functional teams.
- Drive effective resource planning, budget management, project-wise financial performance, and cost control across programs.
- Identify program risks and opportunities at an early stage and drive risk mitigation, contingency planning, and corrective actions to ensure uninterrupted program execution.
- Conduct stage-gate reviews and ensure disciplined change management and configuration control in alignment with customer approvals.
- Establish and monitor program governance dashboards covering schedule, cost, quality, risks, resources, delivery, and overall program health.
- Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace industry standards, customer-specific requirements, and organizational governance frameworks, including NADCAP and AS9100.
- Drive lessons learned,



continuous improvement, productivity enhancement, digitization, and analytics to improve program delivery and execution effectiveness.
- Lead and mentor the project/program management team, developing strong technical, commercial, and project management capabilities.
- Participate in organizational improvement initiatives including Kaizen, PMO, cross-functional projects, Business Excellence, and other strategic improvement programs.
- Ensure effective enterprise risk management, team development, compliance, information security, safety, and ethical business practices across program operations.
- Drive responsible use of organizational resources, including energy and environmental practices, in line with sustainability and business objectives.

Requirements:

- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Aerospace Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience for Engineering graduates or 10 years for Diploma holders.
- PMP Certification is mandatory.
- Strong experience in Aerospace Program / Project Management, preferably within an aerospace or defence manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of project management concepts, program governance, project planning, risk management, cost management, and change control.
- Experience managing programs across NPI, development, manufacturing, production, and delivery stages.
- Robust experience in customer interfacing, preferably with global aerospace OEMs, aviation customers, or defence agencies.
- Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and cross-functional manufacturing operations.
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, SCM, and Finance.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, and people-management skills.
- Exposure to NADCAP, AS9100, and customer-specific aerospace quality requirements will be preferred.
